Many models are available with a white battery. The difficulty is finding a tan cartridge. We felt the same when we started but the only ones we could find at the time were the RN4081 models. Not a bad style and we were with those for about the first four months before moving on to the M401 style. Now we are strictly Joye 510 all the way. There is a sub forum here for the RN4081 model and you might want to look there for info.
I would expect you are going to get a ton of people telling you to forget buying something just because it looks like what you are used to. In choosing an e-cig it really has the least to do with quality, but many of us wanted that familiarity when we started. Welcome to the world of vaping and good luck.

the mirage is a really good e-cig i think. i was looking for one as a gift for my uncle and after reading all the reviews, i ended up with it. i am not sure if it is available in the US, i bought it in the uk

Buy an Electronic Cigarette and Smokeless Cigarettes using Liquid Nicotine | Mirage Cigarettes

there is also a DSE084 or the 84mm mini cig which is exactly the same length as a regular analog, but the cartridge is pretty small. it was my first e-cig and after that, i decided to get ones that do not look like a analog, so people wouldn't stare at me quite as much when i was out and about.

like cliff said, the RN4081 also looks like a analog.

if you put the models into youtube search, you can find some reviews, i recommend the ones by igetcha69, very informative. he actually recommended the mirage to me as a e-cig that looks like an analog

good luck and welcome to the forum !

Ok so I wont rail against you for wanting what you want lol but I'm curious as to WHY.
The ones that look most like a cig are usually really small, and dont last very long which is why most of us say 'don't get one like that'. Its not that we hate smoking ( if we did we'd just quit cold turkey and hide all the guns) its just we dont want you to get something youre going to feel disappointed in, assume all PVs are like that and go back to analogs.

i can understand why jack wants one that looks like a cigarette. when i first started, and it is not that long ago as you can see, i was set on getting an e-cig that looks like an analog. because i thought it would make me feel more like i was smoking a tobacco cig rather than an electronic one.

i got 2 DSE084s because they were cheap and i didn't know if vaping was right for me. they performed nowhere near as well as my now 510 or even the evo, but if you think it will help you to get off to a good start if it looks like an analog, then go for it. but you might want to prepare for wanting another one. and if you are anything like most of us here, another one, and another one. i found that in the little over a week i have been vaping, i have spent much more money on e-cigs than analogs, but i should break even soon enough. if i can stop buying more! :D

While many are looking for something that looks "like a real cigarette", I think there are three good reasons not to. Well, two good reasons and some speculation:

- Non- and Anti-smokers: It looks like a cigarette, therefore, it has to be a cigarette. Therefore, it's perfectly alright to harass you for smoking.
- Size and performance: There simply isn't really a model on the marked that is that small and still produces enough vapour for most vapers. The m403 is said to produce at least decent vapour, but battery life on this one can't be very good. And it's still a lot less vapour than a 510 has.
- Unhelpful: I suspect very much that if you vape something that looks like a cigarette, you will be far more likely to treat it like a cigarette. That means short drags, which are not good at all, and you will expect smoke, and a PV does taste differently. So your brain just gets one message: It's a cigarette, and it's not working properly. Solution to problem: Light up one of those you are used to. Which is probably not what you want.

Even if you get one of the correct size, it still won't feel like a real analog. Icigs are way heavier. There is the E-8 from ecig.com that is the tiniest there is and is a two piece. But you must be careful not to vape with the ecig pointing down. The batteries are so small, that if any liquid gets into the battery, it is toast. And they are hard to draw on.

I know this is going to sound really gritchy, and it's not intended that way at all.

In reference to comments made about looking like a "real cigarette":
I was out in the neighborhood the other day and a lady down the street stopped me and asked about my PV, hanging around my neck on a lanyard and she could see the vapor.

Her question : "Is that one of those fake cigarettes."

I know that's the only way she knew to ask the question, but I did courteously introduce her to the terminology as we are finding that ANY link to "fake cigarette", "nearly like a real cigarette", even "electronic cigarette", well those terms seem to perpetuate the idea of smoking, which we aren't. Every time I explain vaping to "the outside world", I get far more exceptence if I do not use the terms related to smoking, but to an alternative we call vaping.

Please don't anyone be offended, this is just some of my observations, and many of us have discussed these issues, just as any pioneers venture out to explore their new world and "name" the continent... that is in actuallity what we all are, pioneers in a brave new world of vaping.

Welcome to our adventure, vape on !

I felt the same as you so my first one was a Volcano, the white one. I didn't want anyone to notice since I didn't know what I was doing at first. I got over it in like a week and no longer wanted one that looked like a cig so went to other models. I can understand your thinking though. Disposable might be a good way to go or take a look at the ones mentioned or the volcano. Volcano is a good co. with fast shipping and helpful sellers. It will cost you a lot more and if like most of us won't want it after a week or so.

Thanks to everyone for their responses! You guys are a great help.

OK, so maybe I don't really have to have one that looks like an analog. I just thought it would make the transition easier on me mentally. I was hoping with the visual that it would make me miss the analogs much less.

Anyway, I just ordered the 510 Nobox from Cignot and a couple of bottles of juice along with an extended life battery. I figure the white body with the red LED can't look that much different than an analog. I can't wait to start vaping. :D

Thanks again to everyone for the advice!

by the way, just a thought, but I am thinking about making pics of all my "failed" PVs and a list, and offering them to those who want to try one "that looks like an analog", just for the shipping costs. I will never use them, they were super-minis and not much satisfaction in them, but they are still in working order (only as good as they were to begin with, which wasn't much)

Just me thinking... I have a whole dresser drawer full of that stuff, with a ton of carts, a few batts and so on...

Maybe I will get around to that sometime.. then when the person that takes them finally realizes it's not what they want either, they could send them on to another.

    Pay it Forward....

    :)

This is so true! I first started with blucigs back in mid Feb because they looked and felt like a real cigarette. Then I found ECF! I spent a few hours every night reading through threads, and not even two weeks after getting my blu's I placed an order in for a Tornado. THEN, about a week after that I ordered a Chuck. Not to mention all of the money I spent on liquids and extra atty's. I'm not complaining, like Ninotschka stated I'm sure I'll break even eventually. This is all so much fun, though, and has turned a terrible addiction into a much safer and fun hobby!

    Good luck and happy vaping!
