My white LP was getting a little (lot) leaky and performance had dropped off considerably. Not terribly surprising given the levels of neglect and abuse to which it is regularly subjected.

Figured since the boss man was on vacation, I'd give the poor thing some long overdue attention. Full bath, new positive contact, new spring, Noalox treatment, new bottle, new tube, and the Derringer received a bath, new coils, and some fresh KGD. Back to running like a new Grand - it's a great feeling!

A "little maintenance" is one of the huge benefits of Reos to me... they need very little of it, they don't need it very often and it doesn't take long to do. The KISS mod.

Well remember the days dealing with my 9 GP PAPS X's/V3's/V2.1, Piccolo, 4 Herons, 2 Spheroids, SnP... having to break them completely down into individual parts, wash & scrub, air dry, the LUX parts Cape Cod clothed, lube, rebuild the Herons/Spheriods, hopefully had not misplaced/lost any parts, and reassemble them EVERY week to keep them hitting 110%. It pretty much took all day to get them all done from start to finish.

lol... I decided to give my black REO a cleansing this evening and promptly lost the small gasket which goes directly under the head of the 510 pin. I'll have to see if I can scour up a suitable o-ring replacement. Maybe now would be a good time to get this one on its way to Rob for the new 510.

I do need to send it in... eventually. I was able to use a gasket from an old clearomizer. Works like a champ.

I tore apart about a half dozen various clearos last summer and kept all the various gaskets and such. Glad I did.

You're scaring me a little. I absolutely love my GP gear but I know what you mean on the maintenance.
I just want to change batts, fill it, vape it and not have to deal with it.
I'm afraid I could get too into this whole REO thing

I did love those of my GP gear that I used too, right up until I got my first Reo last August, and the GP gear fell from favor immediately. I used a couple of X's or V3's w/Senio's to test run liquids for a while is all until I got more Reos (9 in the first 2 months)... but like all the rest even the X's are out of service for good, some of the gear still unused (like the TIX, a Spheroid, etc) and with the ton of spares for all of them that were never used. The constant maintenance and forum dying with VA's Holiday last July, the desertions of most of the most active people and never coming back to its former glory made it easy to forget about the GP gear and the forum. Would still call the PAPS X's my favorite tube mechs that I've used, but I use Reos now, I squonk instead of drip or mess with tanks and keep it simple so don't want or need to use them anymore. They have been added to all the the ProVari's, MicroStick, The Don and all the other mods/toppers that came before then in dead storage. Out of sight out of mind, that works.

So what color will your next Reo be?

One squeezes the bottle with there finger and it pushes the juice up into the bottom of the atty.. there's a hole in the bottom of the threads of the atty as its a bottom fed rebuildable atty. When you let go of the bottle excess juice is then sucked back down into the bottle.
