WHAAAA..... !!!!!!

DO I GET MY MEDAL NOW???

LOL... I remember the first time that Switched posted something along these lines, I thought he was crazy, insane and just a little bit ignorant for cutting people off with their questions... I mean... Hey, they were legitimate questions and laments.... why can't people answer them.... Hell, i was one of the chronic whiners.

A year on...?? yeah, I don't answer(ok... argue) half the stuff i would have a year ago. I know that the legitimacy of the questions and laments haven't changed... just my weariness of seeing the same complaints every time!

Don't get me wrong, i love love love helping people out, i'm a ardent activist and enthusiast... but negativity draws me down maaaan...! come to me and i'll help you out as best i can to get you into the best vaping situation you can set yourself up with... but don't start whining...

What ^^he said^^

I am all about helping but as Jay, the day in and day out drama associated with smoking withdrawals, is a little over the top at times. This sort of negativity manifests itself throughout the sub, something we don't need IMHO.

my problem lies more with customs then canada post! bunch of uptight pencil jockeys!
Like it or not they are only following directives just as you when you go to work, no different. They just do a different job to put food on the table. If it is any consolation, I have tooling opened and inspected amongst other things. Considering I only had 1 package rejected in nearly 2 years, I can't really complain.

I'm a sucker for helping people, but I have to agree that when I see the same question being posted over and over again in different threads on the 1st page it does grind my gears. If you managed to locate this forum, register an account, get your 5 posts to start posting in the Canada forum, the least you can do is go through the stickies, browse through 4-5 pages of the forum, try to ask your question in a similar already existent thread, use the search function, and then once you've exhausted all of those options (which honestly should not take more than 20 minutes) then feel free to start a new thread. Although I have yet to see a new ground breaking question that hasn't been asked and answered at least 20 times before.

As a veteran myself, it's critical for us to be focused on helping the new vapors that come to this forum or any other social medium regardless of the topic or opinion.

As a new vapor, I appreciated all the help/knowledge I could get. Cynicism was rarely seen on this forum 2.5yrs ago....as veteran's, let's keep the "pay-it-forward" attitude...please.

We all love helping out new vapers, it's one of the reasons we're here but at the same time we expect new members to be a little more proactive in trying to find the answers to their questions instead of cluttering up the board with new threads about "customs" when there have been 4-5 different threads in the past week with exactly the same questions.

I haven't even been around for a year yet, but in these past 8 months I've seen this forum explode with new members and posts and threads, so I can imagine that things were certainly a lot different 2.5 years ago when the forum was not as populated and there wasn't as much information floating around.

Again just my opinion :)

We're here for new vapers. To help and boost our fledgling community.. agreed! We all agree to that.

As an individual, I took almost a whole month to read, learn, identify and observe this VAST community as a whole before I started asking questions as a newbie. That is what I believe the Veterans on here are asking for.

As a newbie, think of this community as a Knowledgebase. The knowledge is probably out there, and the means to find it are also available to you. Now, go find it.. Can't find it? ask the question. One of us will help align your compass and point you in the right direction.

Happy vaping!!

I second Smokum on this.

Coming to a new forum can be daunting. So many threads - so much info - where to start - what to say, etc.

It does help if most of the threads welcome interaction and there's at least one thread with relevant noob questions (yes - that have been asked a gazillion times).

Everyone breaks the ice a different way (I use an ice pick!).

(mho - chronic whiners annoy noobs as much as veterans....) ...just sayin....

Honestly........ today's electronic age of smartphones/puters/social networking/etc are making many (especially the young - sorry youngin's, lol) LAZY.

I've seen it at all kinds of forums I'm on.... instead of researching by reading (say, within a 100 page thread let alone a whole forum) some will spout off that they don't have time or interest in doing that. Say WHAT ??!! Something that you have interest in (and in this case, something that is life affecting), that you don't have time ? Oh my.......

And if I get one more nephew or niece coming to my house and .....ing me out for not coming to the door since the ping'd me "We're HERE"..... I'm gonna lose it and smack them for being to lazy to lift their arm and push that little button called a doorbell.

For now I just roll my eyes & shake my head as they shiver in the cold, lol.......

Haha, last batch of new vapors? Guilty!!! I mean I just posted a rant about Canada post being slow. I'm just excited. So if i annoyed anyone, sorry...

Not annoyed at all. Ordering ecigs & supplies is a challenge for Canadians. You'll learn the timelines as you become more accustomed to the delivery process. The best piece of advice is to stock up on the parts and juice you start to enjoy, and make certain you are aware of your vaping inventory.

Get informed, listen, then keep asking questions, and look for the proper forum to ask them.

Good luck :)
