White gunk in bottom of cartridges

I saw places for attys, cartos and the such but not for cartridges so I hope it's ok to post this here. When cleaning my cartridges I pulled out the polyfill to replace and noticed that there was some solid white gunk on the bottom and was wondering if anybody has seen this before? Not sure if it was there already or if it developed from the vaping.

On some 510 carts the filler is glued in with a glue that resembles a white latex type of material. It was done to keep the filler from sticking to the mesh atty bridge and being pulled out when the cart is removed.
