Let me further explain. I told them, that these scammers had scammed a bunch of my friends on our forum for their fake products in our classifieds. I was precise, but vague. I never mentioned ECF or ecigs. Sorry to mislead.

Just sic the Dreadnoks on them...

Sorry for the delay, I've had some really long and odd hours at work lately.

I emailed the local PD but they have never responded. Not sure what the deal is with that but I suppose I'll resend the email to see if I get a response. If not, I'll try a different contact. If that doesn't work, I'll try to call them, I just don't know when I'll be able to.

I would like everyone who purchased or traded with Hheathernhudson to please fill out and submit this form. This would be whether you have received a refund or not.

Woohoo, got the below message. Just checked out the ol' PayPal account and now I got $70 bucks in there. :)

Time to see if it's enough to do some evil somewhere. ;-b

I'm sure my case was resolved so quickly (think only about a little over a week) because of the uniformed response from everyone in here and all the help by the admins and stuff.

So, my thanks to those who led the charge, were the squeaky wheels, and for starting up this thread.

Kick ...!!!

Joe

i finally came across something to back up my initial recollection that paypal will only reimburse for a loss if there is a balance in the seller's account. i thought, from your responses, that the policy has been changed drastically. unfortunately, all of us were only partially right and i'm posting this as a caveat! y'all had a great outcome because it seems you stayed under the threshold! ;)

At this point we were able to determine that the auctions were indeed fraud and it looked like the seller was trying to get some quick cash. On June 18, I filed a fraud claim with Paypal to have my money refunded. Today (July 5th) Paypal marked the case as resolved, I was at first happy until I saw the disturbing balance on my Paypal account. Paypal only covered $200, and let me note “This is the maximum amount covered by PayPal. If your claim was for more than the amount recovered, the outstanding balance is due from the seller and we will make our best effort to recover it for you.”

edit - not sure anymore if that is the most pp figure covered - still trying to nail down if there is a limit and in what amount .............
