I didn't mean to imply that at all. Just really don't know what the benefit is to the "friend request" function of the forum and was trying to be funny about it. Friends are awesome and the only hole I need to plug is the one in my wallet
I like the friends concept, I sometimes lose track of members I've swapped with or talked about a certain subject with, and if I include them in friends I will be more likely to find them and remember stuff again. My memory isn't what it used to be, and I pretty much delete PMs quickly as I don't want my mailbox to reach full status.
Yeah, who needs friends. Oh wait, you are my friend! From like day 1 on here. Hey, if you find a plug for the wallet hole, let me know. I just dropped another $20 on goodies and it's only Monday.
@perpetualsharon - no plug but I have a new strategy - so let's say for example that I decide to order a couple of sampler packs from oh... say Alice in Vapeland, hypothetically of course, and let's say that it costs like ... say 20 bucks. So then I just tell myself - ok, 20 bucks, 2 packs of smokes and a Bic - I saved like 3 dollars because I didn't go to Circle K and buy a soda and some gum! See? That's over a 10% gain RIGHT. THERE.

Darn, it looks like I missed out on the friend-request-apalooza. Thats OK. I have one pal who recently got into vaping and it looks like I'm following him down this rabbit-hole.

LisaL - I use that mentality every single day. I have saved myself up to about $500 but that is goodies for me and my daughter. She was a tough sell at first but I told her the money she saved on cigarettes could get her into her own apartment faster. Guess who's a vaping fool now? Yeah it costs me a little more up front and yeah she is going to be living here a while longer, but who cares? She's only 21 and if I have to spend $500 to get her and me to quit smoking, I'll spend it happily . My husband just looks at me and shakes his head. He doesn't understand. Just like I don't understand why he pays to go to football/baseball/basketball/hockey games, scream at the team and get his blood boiling mad. *shrug* we all have things we throw money at occasionally, ours just happens to be a hobby that may just save our life.

It's like investment, or infrastructure, or something.* Which is what I told myself this w/e when I ordered up some new juice to try, I could have bought a carton, and instead was buying juice, which even with shipping was LESS, so !SAVINGS!
* I am so far from being an accountant, I'm into anti-accountant territory. Without a compass. I do have bearspray, though.
