Whoa Battman! 10 sec cutoffs

My original one from the first batch is still working fine, but I'm glad to hear that it's an issue for some people. Well, not glad that it's an issue, but glad that I've heard about it.

I'll definitely bring that up, and put samples through some stress testing before and after.

And, hey, if anyone can send me a dead sample, PM me!

Just last night, I tore apart my dead manual passthru. I don't know why it quit working, but it wasn't stress.

There is a ty-wrap behind the "ashes" cap which provided strain relief. I thought maybe the wire had twisted inside the tube and broken a wire. That wasn't it either. There were no broken wires and nothing was burned.

I don't know why it died. It only saw occasional use for 3 - 4 weeks.

Does anyone know when the "super short" batteries are going to be in stock? How short is super short? Auto/manual/ or both? 10 second cut-off?? I wanna order one the day it is released...

Steve said in these forums a few days ago that he hoped to have them this week - they are in the process of moving and we haven't had any other updates since then. The battery with the carto should be about the length of a normal king size analog, so I would guess around the 3 1/2 inch mark, and they should be 10 sec cutoffs in Auto - Steve hasn't said if they will be available in manual at some point. But yes, I will also be getting a few as well - would be perfect for stealth vaping at work...lol..

To the best of my knowledge, nobody has said, but I would assume that it's a local move (my guess - or hope - is that he's simply expanding V4L.)

I wish there's a way I can pick up my orders in person. Living in Chicago means paying both taxes and shipping fees and still waiting for the crappy USPS delivery, which still takes 3 days to go 5 miles...

I'm fairly certain Steve said that after the move, pickups would be a possibility.

Chicago is a 2 1/2 hour drive for me, and I would gladly make the haul to pick up my order and to thank Steve in person!

I really hope so. That would be awesome for me as well as put more money in Steve's pocket instead of USPS's.
