It is possible it is part of a money laundering operation. American operations of groups from that area of Europe (Russia, Bulgaria, etc..) do this kind of thing. Sell a product at an extreme markup, get the occasional idiot buying it but most of the sales are fake but the high price is how they can claim they earned the income that they did while in reality they had to swallow very little expense.

You know, anyone can charge whatever price they want for the product they're selling (unless it's below MAP, but that's another discussion for a different thread).

I know their prices are way high, you know their prices are way high, but they're doing nothing illegal as far as I'm concerned. It's not like they're price gouging during a crisis and they're competing against hundreds, if not thousands, of other resellers of the same product. There may be people out there foolish enough to buy from them and pay those prices, just like there are people foolish enough to pay those high prices at mall kiosks.

A lyric from the song "Come and Get It" by Badfinger just came to mind - "Will you walk away from a fool and his money?"
Maybe it's part of a business plan

Okay if the plat, gold and silver are the true unadulterated metals on not plated - then in some stretch of the imagination - maybe...

But the other colors -- are they jewel coated?

Thats one hell of a markup. Looks like they add fancy 'edition' names to make one think they are getting something special.

I wondered if maybe they were a european company (since they accept euro and pounds) and something screwed up with the exchange rates but being as they are located in Dallas TX that would not seem to be the answer.

Well, the domain walla.com where the owner has an email address redirects to walla.co.il which is in Israel and is written in Hebrew. Take me back 35 years and I might be able to translate, but not today.

But if you Google the contact's name and Lucky Day Inc, it still comes up Texas.

I'm Israeli, Walla is an Israeli portal. This guy seems to me to be a typical creepy crook feeding on ignorant newbies, and has bought an address in Texas. There are creeps everywhere, but also people all too willing to part with their money in exchange for garbage.

I'm The Ocelot everywhere except Justin Chat. When Mod Envy switched to Justin from Vaughn the name wasn't available. If the fake Ocelot shows up, Pouncey Silver Kitten's going to take 'em down. Hiss and stuff.

I kind of got the impression the person was an Israeli residing in the US (based on the "Lucky Day, Inc." info), but it doesn't matter where he is, thieves are thieves and preying on people desperate to quit smoking is evil.

I'm going to post now before reading anymore of the thread because I have the attention span of a guppy and will forget what I was going to say about what I read if I read any further and forget what I was going to post about what I forgot I read.

Canada Bill Jones said once, "It's immoral to let a sucker keep his money." Thanks to the online community, folks like Ocey, places like ECF; really help to educate us 'n keep folks (especially newcommers) informed & updated. When I got hacked, I heard about it here even before my bank's automated fraud alert phone call.

That site was talked about in chat somewhere this past weekend. I wrote them a somewhat lengthy message letting them know how I feel about people who take advantage of others. This is just plain greed. There is no good reason to jack up your prices that much. It reminds me of our government trying to tax us 45% on ecigs! They are both crooks!
