May, what abysmal business ethics the folks at Global Smoke have. What's really bad is that they really can't even claim ignorance. They brand their items as "Global Smokes." So the only reason they would possibly double-brand as "Tasty Vapor" is if they already knew TV existed and wanted to take advantage of their reputation.

Which, I suppose, in its own way, shows that e-cigs are getting popular enough that people might recognize a brand. The cost of fame, I guess.

Go get 'em Mr. TV. ;)

I'm confused, is the juice actually Geoff's product that has been marked-up for re-sale (scummy but possibly legal), or is it a different product with a similar logo? I'll try to look for myself, but it's hard to surf with this phone...

From what I can see in the pictures (which even on my full screen is hard to read), it doesn't say "Tasty Vapor" on the cigs themselves, or on the box. They're just labeled as the "Tasty Vapor"-model Global Smoke e-cig on the website.

As far as the e-juice, I really can't tell. It's too small. But just by the pattern of the letters, I think they also say "Global Smoke" on the bottle.

Mr. TV says they haven't approved resale of their products to anyone, and they don't appear to sell wholesale. So I find it hard to imagine that whatever they're selling at Global Smoke is actually TV products.

Probably their way of covering their butts if TV ever found out about it.

Let me start saying that I love Tasty Vapor and do business with them often.
Now, it is sad how most people jump into their throats for this; yeah, right, they could be taking advantage of a name… or they simply copied a nice catchy name of an excellent liquid on the market. I cannot make the call. I don’t know Global Smoke and I do not care about them; but I do know that Tasty Vapor just recently started commercializing parts; so maybe (a big maybe) they didn’t do it to try to destroy TV reputation.

America is all about free market. Many people think “rip-off”, why? This is the cost of doing business and now some are trying to make a living in a kiosk or mortar store… For all of you who enjoy photography; how many photo-stores do you know? Not many and most do not carry all products.. why? Because we all buy “online”. After all, we do not pat taxes when ordering out of state… well, we suppose to pay the taxes! And sooner or later big brother will do something to make us pay… so if this people is making a living at expense of people who doesn’t research or who think they are paying a fiar price, then so be it.

There are no more coffee shops because we enjoy starbucks, there are no camera shops because there is amazon and the such… Pv’s are new, it is a new market and there are no “giants” killing the rest…
I don’t see TV trying to kill any other vendor… think about it, this global thing is only hurting themselves! Leading people to this forum, calling “tasty vapor” a product… they may sell 5 sets, but they expose the name to thousand more; later from those thousand more, many will search online, several will forget the name of the store but remember the product and eventually will find Geoff’s Tasty Vapor… What will they think? Cool! It’s cheaper online! And they will end up buying from the real Tasty Vapor…
Many did and many would do it, it is a no brainer…

Just my humble opinion.

Let's remember, too, that the majority of vapers (who are actually not on ecig forums) found out about ecigs from the kiosk, tobacco store and/or expo sellers. If not for people seeing them, vaping wouldn't have caught on so quickly.

So, they do provide a valuable service to the vaping community by increasing our numbers.

In addition to rent, inventory, insurance , etc they also usually have store clerks they have to pay, as well. However, if ecigs REALLY take off, those mall prices will come down quite a bit. Already ecigs are appearing in much cheaper versions in local gas stations across the country, so it'll be hard to get away with those expensive markups! ;)

what mall was this at?
So my girlfriend and I wer strolling through the mall Saturday night and We saw a kiosk that sold E-cigs. I had to go check it out because ive heard what a ripoff they are.I walked up and the guy selling the stuff couldnt care less that he had potential customers.I got his attention to ask him how much the ejuice was.He told me 60 bucks for 15ml!!! I told him 15ml normally goes for around 10 bucks. Then he told me "Yea but this is equal to 4 cartons of cigarettes!" Well needless to say I was offended by the price and told him 15ml might get me half way through a month and walked away.I couldnt believe that guy.

Well lastnight i was talking to my girlfriend and asked her if she could remember the name of the kiosk so i can look to see if there was website. She remembered the name was global smoke.Well i got online and looked it up and sure enough there it was.....globalsmoke.com. I looked through there site and saw alot of marked up prices. $45 for 15ml $155 for a ego kit....but this isnt what caught my attention....The ego kits they sell are branded....Not with globalsmoke's name but TASTY VAPOR!!!!!!! They sell Tasty Vapor's stuff and mark it WaaaaaY up! As ive seen on Tasty vapor's site its around $10 for 15ml and $55 for a ego kit. Im not sure if TV knows of this and i cant say the owner would be very happy to see this.As of what i know of TV they try to supply vapers with good prices and work to hard to have his compay's name spoiled by sum dude that is reselling his stuff.

If anyone knows the owner (Geoff i think his name is) let him know of this and stay away from globalsmoke.com!!!!!!

OK, I managed to pull the page up, and it looks to me that they just named one of the kits they get from China "The Tasty Vapor", possibly unaware that Geoff's company exists. So his lawyer sends them a "Cease and Desist", and waits to see what happens.

Looks like a case of (possibly unintentional) trademark infringement to me.

I need to make a correction...

I posted earlier that I don't have a problem with someone selling something at Jacked up prices at a mall. I don't.

But I would have a HUGE problem if the products were being sold as Branded under the TV name without the consent of TV.

wondering if tv registered their trade name, and also
tasty vapor lends itself well to ecig products, so more than one person could come up with that not knowing it is in use

All up in your grill..
It would be interesting to have some input from Mac on this.
Ask and ye shall recieve:

This is gouging. We are in a very, very expensive mall and yes we are more expensive then the internet. We sell 4 mils for 10 bucks 5 mils for 12 bucks and 10 mils for 20 bucks. Pricey? Yes. But those guys are taking it to a whole other level. At some point it's no longer justifying your overhead. At some point it's just plain old greed.

everybody is in it to make some money.

TV and all internet suppliers have made prices so good for end users, vendors simply cannot compete...
at $55 eGo kit, what are wholesale prices?... shipping?.... duties?.... warehouse?.... not to mention the risk involved in doing all this to provide a physical location for end users to get exposure and pick up supplies...

They are charging a loooot of premium.. but who is really buying?.... the tourists i suppose... and probably not many of them. So they would need a larger margin as opposed to online vendors who already have great exposure to this subculture and can sell at high volumes... relatively speaking.

the business model here is the problem.
