Sitting down, facing forward.
I was a VV doubter until Thursday when I got one. The difference that .1 volt can make, up or down, is amazing. Frankly, I thought it was all kind of BS, but it seems to be true, at least to me. On the other hand the KISS principle seems to be quite important to me as well and I plan on using Volt automatics quite a bit as well.

I watched PBusardo's review on the iTaste and it looks really nifty. Lots of features and I like the idea of the magnetic attachments. I wasn't interested in a VV either, but my granddaughter talked me into a Twist. She said a lower voltage makes dessert flavors taste better. So I bought one and I do like most dessert flavors at either 3.2 or 3.4 volts. I've also tried a CE3 with an adapter if it had the burnt taste and the lower voltage stopped that. Some flavors become muted at the lower setting, but it's better than tasting burnt.

There's no chance I'll stop using my Volts. For most of my liquids they work great. The batteries and cartos can't be beat and with the addition of a variety of delivery systems, SI gives us lots of choices. That iTaste looks mighty interesting though. It never hurts to have extra and different hardware around. At least, that's what I keep telling myself.

I was the same as you. I really didn't see a need for it until I tired a VV. It's just SO nice to be able to make those fine tweeks to enhance the flavor. I didn't find it complicated at all.
I was just reading some postings that some are having burnt taste with the new CE3's. If they had VV it would be as simple as dropping it down a tenth or two to get a great vape.

That said, I LOVE the 78 automatics and always have one in my pocket topped with a CE3. For me that's the best of both worlds.

Given that the Nano is actually a mini tank, complete with a mini carto inside, it would probably mute the flavors in a way similar to a carto. I can't say from actual experience since my own experience with the Nano was a little less than stellar.

Just my opinion, worth what you're paying for it, your results and mileage may vary, no warranty or guaranty is expressed or implied.

I currently use variable voltage and I would find it hard to be without it now. Certain flavors are enhanced with different voltages. For example, I have a number of fruit flavors that taste best at 3.4v - 3.7v, any higher voltage and they tend to taste burnt. I have many coffee flavors that taste best at voltages between 4.1v and 4.6v. Just 0.2v difference in voltage can make a difference.

Imagine has stated that Smokeless Image's focus is on the beginner and intermediate vapor. The company uses the K.I.S.S. principle to good use. By keeping all of the gear compatible with one another it keeps everything less complicated, and that in itself is a selling point.

She has also conceded that customers may feel the need to move on to different horizons as far as different gear, which includes variable voltage, devices that utilize replaceable batteries, devices that are capable of carrying larger capacities of juice, etc., and the company is alright with that. It is a rather natural progression in the vaping experience. Their primary goal is to provide smokers with an new alternative to quit smoking, and I'm quite certain that they have done just that quite successfully.

Although my current supplies of Smokeless Image products is rather limited by the setup that I currently use, I am still loyal to the company and frequently recommend them as an excellent company to begin vaping with. They are, after all, responsible for providing me with my first starter kit that allowed me to quit cigarettes for the first time in 30 years of smoking.

Trying out an eGo Twist would not be a breach in loyalty to your beloved company. As someone has pointed out already, adaptors are available to allow intermixing of opposing devices. One could continue to use Volt devices on a variable voltage battery. In fact, I still use Volt ce3s on my 510 threaded mods to test new juice sample flavors. Used with a 510-to-808 adaptor, these are ideal for this use because I don't drip, they use a small amount of juice, and are reusable, unlike cartomizers.

There's another large well-known 808 company that just came out with a VV 808. It's $49.95, although they do offer frequent discounts. I admit that I ordered one today, in the name of research. (I got it at 35% off which still makes it more than an X2). In my defense, I did place a large order with SI during the Black Friday sale.

Ya....I got one and will be sending it back because it does not have any ego threads, basically it wont work with any fatbat 808 accessories such as clearomizers, 5ml dual coil cartos, you are basically limited to cartomizers/tanks......When I ordered it I assumed it would be like the EGO VV 510 with 808 threads, instead its more like an ECHO. Epic fail for me.

I'll look at it when it comes in, but mine may go back too. I really wanted to use it with SI's clearos and the upcoming T3's

This battery looks like a major ripoff. It costs twice as much as an eGo Twist, and you can't use the larger clearos on it. You could use an 808 thread extension (if there's one available), but if you're going to do that, why not just buy a Twist and an adapter?
