There's another large well-known 808 company that just came out with a VV 808. It's $49.95, although they do offer frequent discounts. I admit that I ordered one today, in the name of research. (I got it at 35% off which still makes it more than an X2). In my defense, I did place a large order with SI during the Black Friday sale.

WHY do you have to defend your self,,,This is the ECF forums,,,It is for learning,,not keeping secrets.

I was trying to be respectful of who's subforum I was posting in (SI's). I didn't want to promote another company in the Smokeless Image subforum. If I was posting somewhere else on ECF, like under VV mods, I would have went ahead and mentioned the other companies name.

If you read other forums, most of them (because I haven't read them all) don't mind if you mention other suppliers as long as you don't link. It seems the suppliers and ECF are a good fit with each other, at least at this point and time.

SI forums are a wealth of information and they have a great product. The T3s are a little slow on that boat from China which is depressing.

I agree. S.I. doesn’t own this forum. ECF allows suppliers like S.I. to have subforums here because it helps us (the users) not the suppliers. In addition to advertising, part of the reason S.I. has this subforum is to learn about their customers. We’re not helping them if we let them think that we will buy anything they sell and that we don’t buy anything from other vendors.

I just try not to say anything here that I wouldn’t say if Imagine or others at S.I. were sitting beside me.

When suppliers receive a subforum here we moderate it for the most part unless we ask for help or something goes against ECF's general guidelines.. I could make a rule of not mentioning other suppliers altogether....I can even edit/delete your posts if I choose...and I have never done that (except one time to remove a nude photo lol)....I just ask like others said that you be respectful and take things like that to PM or not to spam anything :) I like to keep this a censorship free environment....

I agree with this policy.
PM is a GREAT option that doesnt' step on anybody's toes.

The fact that we can freely discuss this option (vv) here and that SI is listening to us and checking into the issue shows how much they value our input.

Vvvolt is cool. What about the v3? For variable voltage volt and it would be the third variation(or version) SI has for the volt. Or at least the third in their product line.

That would be good. Introducing the Volt v3!!!!...... It's a new design with variable voltage so you can adjust the vapor you need!!!!!!
Want you vapor hot or cool, now you can have both. Just adjust the voltage and your ready to go!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This battery looks like a major ripoff. It costs twice as much as an eGo Twist, and you can't use the larger clearos on it. You could use an 808 thread extension (if there's one available), but if you're going to do that, why not just buy a Twist and an adapter?

J.R.

This is what I was going to say. 50 bucks for something I can't replace the battery in is not happening. Plus, the thread choice is terrible.

I use T2's because I can go from a Twist to an X2 without grabbing a new clearo. This would be like my echo battery, lonely in the drawer except not small or cheap.

Sitting down, facing forward.
I'm so happy with the set up I have, I've never been interested in vv.

But with that budget increase.......hehehehehe

You know, I felt the same way. Why would I want a VV when I get great vapor and flavor out of an X2 or 78mm? Then I bought a VV with the idea of being able to use either 808 or 510 threaded devices without using an adapter, the iTaste allows that. Right now I'm really enjoying some SI RY4 on my VV. I liked SI's RY4 before, on a clearo or a CE3, but the VV lets me dial the voltage in to just the right point where throat hit is great, vapor is great and flavor is tremendous. I never would have believed the difference a few tenths of a volt can make unless I tried it myself is all I can say.

That sounds similar to my own experience. You know the saying, "Don't knock it 'till you've tried it." :thumb:

Yeah, I'd buy a VV X2. My wife is getting me a cheap VV 808/eGo for Christmas, but it only has 4 fixed voltage settings. Figured it'd be a good toy to try out, and a spare battery to fit my X2 equipment.

If SI had a true VV 808/eGo, I'd snatch one up. I haven't even had my X2 more than a few hours and I love it.
