Why am I going through so much juice?

I've been having to refill my carto like crazy... Everything I can find says that with a carto, you should be getting like 200 puffs per fill. I would estimate that I'm getting less than 50. It's kind of becoming a pain. I'm using an Aqua Vapor Classic, which is like a cigarette, so I'm guessing it's not some super machine. My ADV that this has been happening with is 80pg/20vg, 18mg nic. Is it time to upgrade or am I doing something wrong? I've heard the better the mods, the more juice you will use. I'm still pretty new to vaping, but I've tried slowly filling it, like 3 drops at a time, then let it sit for a few minutes and repeating that until it starts coming out the bottom of the carto. I'm getting great vapor and flavor production but, it just doesn't last!

Hi - those "puffs per whatever" claims are always inaccurate. It seems most people go through 3-5ml of juice on average. Like you said, you should probably look into an upgrade that will hold more liquid.

Dang, that's what I was thinking. I wanted to hold off on upgrading until I knew more about the vape world. Thanks.

Yeah, if the refilling of yer carto gets to be an annoying task then perhaps a pv that wont look wonky with a carto tank is in order. If you're interested in an upgrade, most people who start on the small cig-style batteries make the step up to an eGo. Your battery life improves, vapor production improves and with the tank you hardly have to fiddle with juice bottles.

What do you think would be the best brand of an eGo? Like I said I'm pretty new to this. I knew absolutely nothing until about 8 days ago! A friend gave me the Classic and all the chargers and everything because she was upgrading to an eGo and she said something about using a Vivi Nova and Kanger T3 and I don't know what either of those are, lol.

An "eGo" is a style of battery. The name brand is "Joyetech," but there are tons of clones. The vivi nova and Kanger are delivery systems - basically what holds your juice and the way it is vaporized by the power source (your battery).

slow filling is a pain but its the only way to fill an old fashioned carto fully.
the best way is to use a syringe which opens you up to leakage at 1st till you get the hang of it.
you might want to buy a mini cartomizer tank for your batteries.

But, the upgrade is inevitable and i'd say the sooner the better.

i just got an eGo C-Twist (which allows you to change the wattage) .. a smokeTech tank, a charger and a couple bottles at my local vendor and only cost me 75$

honestly, i'm new as well but found it really easy to use/setup.. plus if you dont want to use the tank, you can just stick the carto on the end of the battery and use that..

i felt the same way when i was filling carto/cartridges every 5 min... with the new tank system it lasts me the whole day depending on how much I vape..

once you get an upgraded system you will be even more hooked :) and luckily if you have any trouble you have this wonderful forum and tons of videos to watch (which is what i did when i overflooded my tank carto the first time!)

good luck!

So the clearos and the Vivi Novas are just tanks you fill with juice instead of soaking up a "fill" like what's in a carto?

Correct. All e-cigs are the same, in that your have a power source, a heating element and something to hold the juice to get it to the heating element. A cartomizer, like what you've been using is a heating element/poly fill combo. The juice is poured into the filler which wicks to the heating which is a coil inside.

I appreciate that it might be annoying for some people to keep refilling cartos... tbh it didn't bother me as I'm used to rolling my own ciggies.

Are you using because of the nicotine or because of habit? Could it be that your nicotine level is too low and not hitting the spot? Maybe get a 10ml bottle of 24mg and see if that helps? It might save you a bit of money in the meantime.

I would also add that if you're still new to vaping, you'll still be getting cravings as you come off the other chemicals they put in tobacco. You're doing great! Keep it up!x

Thank you for all the info!! I appreciate it! I will be upgrading as soon as my husband gives me the green light, lol.

I vary between 0.5ml and 2.5ml (higher being new carto days, alcohol or late nights with friends)...I'm sad...I counted!x

I think it's a little of both, but I'm an all day kinda vaper... I don't really have vape sessions or anything... All of the juice I bought that was 24mg had a harsh TH. I have the same pg/vg ratio in another flavor, same brand, but with 18mg and it's so much more smooth. And where I puff on it all day, I didn't want too much nicotine, it makes me antsy.
