Why am I going through so much juice?

Thanks, Boston! That's exactly what I needed to hear. I was nervous about what to order because I didn't want to end up with something I had no idea how to use and end up messing it up and wasting money.

i'm using just my regular 510 joyetech (small like a regular analog) at work .. and i literally cant WAIT to get home to use my new bigger one.
(only had my new one since Friday)

i kept the 510 just to use at work because i would look a little ridiculous smoking the big one at my desk lol.. and it still works really well.. as soon as i tried out the ego Twist though.. i was instantly hooked..

i would try and google to see if there any local shops near you that you could check out.. they are usually really cool and will show you how to do everything before you leave and at my local shop he filled my tank up for free and gave me a 'first time buy' discount.. personally i dont mind ordering stuff online, but i'm very impatient and when i see something i want it right away!

lower nic gives you less throat hit/is smoother.
That would make sense.

I think it's a little of both, but I'm an all day kinda vaper... I don't really have vape sessions or anything... All of the juice I bought that was 24mg had a harsh TH. I have the same pg/vg ratio in another flavor, same brand, but with 18mg and it's so much more smooth. And where I puff on it all day, I didn't want too much nicotine, it makes me antsy.

Welcome to ECf and I don't hate to say it but if your here your a VAPOR like the rest of us. I'll second the ego and a good juice delivery system like the "Vision Vivi Nova" Be aware of knockoff. Some are ok and some are crap.

No local shops in Western Nebraska, lol, I wish! I only know of one other vaper in the town I live in. We're like 10 years behind on everything!

I'm still pretty new to vaping, but I've tried slowly filling it, like 3 drops at a time, then let it sit for a few minutes and repeating that until it starts coming out the bottom of the carto.

This method is how the vape shops always teach new people but there are many other tricks you can use. Most cartos will come with the rubber caps on each end or "condoms". You can use the condom method which is you basically filling up the condom just under halfway and inserting the carto into it. The pressure of u pushing the carto into the condom will push the juice into the filler much faster. If this sounds confusing just youtube some videos. This will likely result in some juice wasting but not by much and it is MUCH faster! As for your going through too much juice problem it really depends on what mod you are using and basically the higher the power the faster the juice will vaporize. I don't see this really happening with the cig type you describe. Have you noticed any leaking? Sometimes these cheaper mods if they can even be called that are just not very good at regulating the batteries it may be burning way to hot. I would really recommend upgrading to at least an eGo.

Yes. You will stop caring. The Nanos work surprisingly well. And though they look a bit odd on a bigger battery are good to have around for tasting small amounts of juice.

aww too bad! didn't know how it was out in NE if the 'vape craze' was more popular than here on the East coast - only 1 shop within 50 miles of me.. and it opened within the last 6 months

A big thanks to everyone! You have all been so helpful. Just one last question (I hope!), what mah do I get?? I've tried searching for info on mah, but searching on this site almost never gets me an answer, just a bunch of random threads that may have "mah" somewhere in there.

"mAh" refers to how long a battery will hold a charge. Theoretically 100mAh = 1 hour, but it tends to be less. The higher the mAh, the longer the battery will work between charges. The higher the mAh, the longer the battery will be in appearance.

Not sure if this has been mentioned but you could fill a couple cartos at a time .Wont cut back on juice used but when one runs low just throw on another and then refill them all later.Thats what I do to make my day easier and then just refill later at night for the next day

I'm a new vaper too. I started with an eGO and so far has been a blessing. I'd say expect to pay somewhere around 60 to 100 dollars if you really want to go for good quality.

If you go with the eGo Twist, I would suggest the eGo Twist 1000. Also be sure to get the charger that is compatible with the twist battery. And always make sure you have backups. Two twists will keep you happy...............for a while......till you're ready for your next upgrade.
