I just got back into vaping after about a year. I used to use the vape pens and decided to upgrade. I invested in an Eleaf IStick TC40W. I have a Kanger TopTank mini.

Right now I am vaping HHV Heavenly Tobacco juice in 60/40. Is it normal to go through 4-5 tanks of juice per day? I don't vape much at work during the day, but do take occasional breaks to vape. I vape much more heavy in the evening though.

I am going through about 4x as much juice per day as I did with my Pens. Any suggestions if this is normal? Right now i am vaping at 20W and not using the temperature control.

What is your nic level? If it is very low, like 3 mg, that might be an influence. I do mouth to lung, single coil, 30 max watts, 400 degrees. I can vape steadily all day and never consume more than 7 ml. I don't care about clouds and nic level is 10 mg. If money is a concern do DIY. Mine costs 1.2 cents per ml.

I have both 3 and 6 nic level. And yes, I am starting to worry that this might get costly for me.

The underlying habits of most ex-smokers is two fold, first is the nicotine and second is the "motor reflex" act of puffing on a device.

While DIY is highly recommended for cost control many of us also use more than one setup at a time with different levels of nicotine in each.

The low mg level juice I use for the "motor reflect" thing without giving me a OD on nicotine and the high mg juice I use to supplement the other one (or if I only have time for a few draws).

I find that I vape less on higher MG juice than low MG juice.

compared to.... I used to drive a smart car at 44mpg and now I drive a Econ 250 at 13 mpg... why am I using so much gas ??? ;) the bigger the unit the more the juice consumption :)
plus, how many ml of juice does the tank hold?? 2-3? 5-10? whats your avg daily juice usage? a heavy usage day for me can be upwards of 15-20 ml..... altho there are some who can puff up 30-50ml a day...

    Two part answer

Sub Ohm coils get a LOT hotter and vaporizes much more liquid. Your vape pen probably used a 1.8 or higher ohm coil.

    2. More airflow to cool that hot coil to prevent burning the wick.

There are people on ECF that Vapes 30+ mls a day.

I don't use a Tank that uses premade coil heads. I use a Rebuildable Tank Atomizer, and build to the resistance I lime tgst takes avantage of my ejuice.

I usually build to .8-1 ohm (barely in sub Ohm territory) i take advantage Of more vapor without guzzeling the juicd the way a .3 or .5 ohm coil will.

If yoy want to reduce your Juice consumption go to a higher resistance coil and lower your power level.

In my KFL+ v2 Kayfun i go through about 3.5-4 mlz daily.

You need to find a happy medium.

    1. A satisfying vape.
    2. Juice consumption you can live with.

I have the top tank mini as well. I use the .15 Ohm Ni200 coils. I usually keep it around 375 degrees at 35 joules. And yeah, I can go through 3 - 5 tanks a day with it. It all depends on your setup and how much you vape. Good choice in gear to get back into it. Welcome back.
Good to hear. Thank you. I guess I will give the temperature control a try with my Nickel coil.
