I just read your posts as well, your reply's seem to be more argumentative then the replys you got. If your concerned about it, don't do it. I vape not because it's safe but because it's safer. A lot of company's out there will give you pretty much all the info you need on their juices. If your not happy with the answers you get here then go to the source. I have a nickel allergy. I do my own research and I talk to the manufacturers of the products I intend on purchasing. I don't gamble my health on some replys I get from an internet forum. Did you ever try contacting PM or RJR regarding what was in their cigarettes? I bet you didn't......and you probably smoked anyways. Is vaping completely harmless? Probably not, but it's most likely a hell of a lot less harmful then the alternative.

If I could like this post 2 or three times, I would!

Also, after reviewing the other posts the OP made, I get the nagging feeling that while someone might be actually using an ecig... that they are trolling at the same time? I know that sounds mean... but is it just me? LOL

You can always make your own juice if you want. That way you would have control of exactly what is/is not in your juice.

BTW you should probably read up on the "Clear Stream" studies (which have been accepted & published)
That way you would know that it was only one coffee flavor out all the flavors tested that showed any sort of problem.

That's cool to hear about. I had no idea people were already so quick to start working on this kind of research. Good to know that there are groups working to study and learn about vaping so we can use this information to educate.

But what about things like artificial sweeteners (which degrade into toxic products when heated) certain toxic artificial dyes or anything that might be allergenic (even food products) etc. I am as concerned about what is in the entities that I inhale as I am to what is in the food I eat or air I breathe or the water I drink or the products that I apply topically. But I notice that on this forum everyone just bristles if you mention anything about labeling and about ingredients. A lot of people have sensitivities to certain food, scents, food coloring etc. So to me it is a legitimate and informed question. We ask for disclosure on all products that we are in contact with and exposed to.
    I'm a little confused...

When I look at labels to see what ingredients are used in foods or beverages, this is what I often see...
    --Artificial flavors
    --Artificial colors
    --Artificial sweeteners

What exactly are you looking for on these labels?

I have some food allergies, so I have found it helpful to just ask the vendors if a juice contains a certain flavoring. This way I get a yes or no and they aren't revealing their special recipe. I have also inquired about diactyl in bakery flavors. If a vendor cannot answer that questions, don't buy it.
This right here is the answer.

I've seen some vendors begin disclosing liquid ingredients on bottles .. it will require a magnifying glass to read, but they are there ..

Claiming the OP is trolling does not seem to be a very productive way to answer what are likely legit questions ..

And lastly, to the OP .. ECF is lightweight and gentle even in a worst case when compared to many, many other Forums .. sometimes life requires a thick skin .. ;)

I am new to vaping So.. What am I missing?

If you were really worried then I suggest that you wouldn't have vaped anything yet. Is that what you mean by "new to vaping" - haven't done it yet?

What are you missing? The truth will become plain when you have found out a bit more about it. For now - just learn more about it (by reading the forum) and stop pontificating.

P.S. If this sounds defensive, hostile or just like an annoyed person then please see post #31 which I am in total agreement with.

I'm sorry, but they're not legitimate questions because if you read the OP's post history, it's clear that these kinds of questions never get answered to their satisfaction. Anyone who knows what's in e-liquid knows that aside from the nicotine, you and the people around you will ingest, inhale or topically apply many times more of the stuff that's in our juice.

They have been for decades, with no documented ill affects other than those caused by normal, human allergic reactions in cases that are quite rare.

These are the same kinds of folks who think that 9/11 was an inside job, that the Federal Reserve is in cahoots with the Tripartite thingie to hoard all of the gold supplies in the world, that Bill Clinton peddled/imported drugs from Mena, Arkansas, that genetically modified foods are a conspiracy to make us all sick, that the Apollo 11 mission was filmed in Hollywood. They see conspiracies, secrets and black helicopters everywhere they go.

They always have questions and refuse to accept even the best answers given. Give them answers and all they do is come up with the same questions, worded differently. Then they accuse you of being defensive.

They've been around since I hosted a FidoNet node back in the early 1990's. Ever since Al Gore invented the internet and automagically gave them World Wide Web access, they've gotten even greater access to the information they crave to feed their fears and to create all of those Rube Goldberg concoctions of ways that imaginary bad guys can make them hurt.

    The best/worst troll is a troll that doesn't know he's a troll.

The best place to send these folks is...

    Crayon Physics Deluxe

    Keeps'em busy for days.

I am sorry you feel that people have been defensive towards you, this is not the way we treat members here.

As for flavorings, in the DIY sub forum there is great info on flavors and ingredients.
If it is a supplier, perhaps state up front what ingredient you have an issue with, and ask if that is in what you are interested in...??
Some of the more complex liquids tho, I really doubt if the exact flavorings used would be disclosed as that would be "giving away" their "secret recipe"

Truely, searching ECF...answers to most every question is in here.

    Thank you.

I am using the JC juices- they say they make everything from scratch there in their labs- but then they caution people with nut allergies not to use their juices as they may have nut-based ingredients or may have been processed in a facility that processes nuts.

That is confusing and contradictory- aren't the smoke juices processed in their facility and wouldn't they know if they are using nut based ingredients? And if THAT is not considered one of their "seven simple ingredients" what else is in there that is not on the ingredient list they provide?

Also I specifically want to avoid artificial sweeteners and believe that should be noted also as an ingredient but they are not able/or will not provide that information. So that makes me wonder about their great reputation and quality assurance and was just hoping to get some information or thoughts from others.

Instead, I got: if you don't like the JC product don't buy it. Thanks. Very helpful.

If you are sensitive to citrus fruits or allergic to nuts etc, you would want to be self aware and research your E liquid supplier and confirm the juice you are purchasing does not contain those particular extracts.

If flavoring ingredients are your main concern, begin by finding an all Natural and Organic E liquid manufacturer, and buy flavors that are simple and contain one flavor. Example : Apple or Grape 0 nicotine , verses Crusted Apple Pie Cobbler. This would bring you to a minimal of added ingredients until you find the one that works for you and your peace of mind.
Thank you- I am still at the early stages of this and trying to find out where to go- this was very helpful
