So I dont want to make the reo community mad but why are the reomizers so expensive?

I am just a little confused I mean I know how to make a bf dripper and its pretty simple

For example I can buy a igo w for like 9 buck and on the reo site its 40.00?

There is no pun intended against reo mods here I just need some clarification on the issue

Thanks

Not sure, I always thought the price was a bit high too. The RM2 is a modified Triangle RDA that Empire Mods sells for 9.99, if Empire is selling them for 9.99, I'd imagine the wholesale price is even lower and the profit margin must be pretty high on an RM2.

Then again, no idea how much work/time goes into each one.

Because of the labor and quality of work that goes into it and the customer service that backs it up and I hope a little profit too.

I own several of original $10 atties that he turns into RM2 Reomizers and I can do all the work. But for the time required Rob's version is a bargain and that's why I buy from him and use the originals as spare parts.

Here's what he does to the RM2 for example.

center post drilled
Center post insulator upgraded and replaced.
metal disk center post mounts to is notched
ceramic deck is notched
lip around deck is cut down.

I'm going to imagine that the answer has to do with drill presses, shop space, employees, electricity, insurance, and things like that not being free.

Yeah, basically you're paying for the overhead and time that it takes to modify it. If you have the knowledge and equipment youll be able to save some dough but for those of us who dont, its a small price to pay IMO

The tooling and machinery rob has to pay for doesn't come cheap, much less overhead costs of power, staffing, building, etc. I don't see ~$30 as being an unreasonable charge for the service he provides considering the overhead. I'm sure if Rob designed and machined an atomizer from scratch in house he would have to charge you $300 rather than ~$30 he charges to modify an existing mass produces product.

Yeah but something expensive in benny Franklins time cost 10 cents instead of 5 lol

Sorry had to :D

What does the century have to do with it?

Tell ya what...go buy that $9-10 atty, buy the extra parts, tools and machinery to do your own modification and when something goes wrong, ask them to fix it for you.

You are paying for his skill and time.

Maybe you didn't mean it the way it sounded and the fact that "no pun intended" makes no sense in that context. This may be the source of the confusion. You're pretty new here and if you hold that type of comment until you've been here awhile you will realize, as all of us here do , that Rob is the last person that would ever try to rip off his customers.
