The easiest response to most people that give me grief about still being "addicted to nicotine" and that's the fact that most people are addicted to sugar and caffeine. I've told several people that I'll quit vaping when they stop drinking coffee. That usually gets the point across. There's also the fact that a lot of vapers don't vape nicotine.

End rant: YAY!!! Good Job! Another convert off of the exhaust fumes.

Huge congrats!

I was told a couple weeks ago that vaping will still cause cancer....I was floored since she looked serious, but still had that look of uncertainty lingering. I've told her how my health was before and after, the knowledge I have gained here, studies that I've read over the past 2 years and she quickly changed the subject -end of story lol.

Keep the vape-train chuggin!! :vapor: :vapor:

Well Nay to the Nay Sayers. I have been tobacco free for a little over a month now. My whole facebook knows I quit smoking for vaping but I made sure to let them know, I do not wish to quit vaping. They know that it is a hobby, not an addiction (well a little bit of both). My friend's have noticed the change in my mental state of mind (not that I was mental or anything lol I am just more social now. My sense of taste and smell literally brought me back to my senses lol). I joined this group because I have been watching ya'll from the shadows and it has the best community I have EVER seen on the internet  Anyways, to the original poster: Don't listen to the nay sayers. People tend to lie about what they don't understand to help them feel better. Some people have no other satisfaction but to bring happy people down (What's that saying....: Don't let the idiots bring you down to their level. They will beat you with experience). It's sad but true. What I am trying to say is: YOU ARE DOING AN AWESOME JOB!!!!! Keep up the good work. Don't fight fire with fire, you'll only get burned. Know that you...YOU...are becoming a healthier, happier, better smelling (lol), more beautiful person because of your decision. I hope my words have helped

Yay! Congrats on doing so wonderful! I think the comments are part ignorance and part jealousy. Most don't really have a good understanding of what vaping is and how it works. Then there's those that simply don't care, they just somehow think we're cheating the system, or getting away with something, and they don't like it.

There's always going to be at least one. All my nonsmoking friends don't seem to care that I'm vaping, just happy that I'm not smoking. A few were iffy until I explained it out as just nicotine and used my soda to coffee/tea analogy. One smoking friend was "You're just going though the motions." "I'll go cold turkey when I'm ready." Most of my smoking friends are starting to ask questions. The good questions like they're interested in trying it themselves. Congrats on your milestone and don't sweat the nay sayers.

I am glad you started this thead b/c I have had the same reaction from family. Though they were happy I quit analogs they are now asking when I am going to quit vaping. I just started vaping Jan 2012 - last analog Jan 2012. I never thought I would quit smoking but vaping allowed me to do it. I enjoy the inhale and exhale - so hang me for it. At least I cut out
the carninogens. So did you. Pat yourself on the back. We vapers get you. We understand what it is to quit smoking and
what an accomplishment that is. Nonsmokers can't know how hard it is. Congrats to you for quitting analogs. WAY TO GO!!!
I , like you and so happy I found this forum, it has been a blessing for me to have kindred souls who understand the vaping
experience and are not pushing me to quit.

I hear you man, Every time people sees me vaping they ask if I'm analog free and my proud answer is YES! after a nod they shoot: An when are you planning to quit on ecigs?

LOL
NEVER! it's my hobby and my new habit, go drink your coffee or something... Most people don't realize they are hooked to other subtances such as caffeine
