Well. I have all ways enjoyed smoke. Cigarettes, cigars, pipes, fire, sweet smoke. My wife and I have been using tobacco for over 60 years combined. My wife was diagnosed with emphazima. We had to make a change. I started to research alternate solutions. Her nor I was looking forward to stop smoking. I still have enough pipe tabac and cigars to hold me for years. I just found I prefer the vapor more than the others. I have ebayed the pre ban Cuban cigars through a local shop. Then used the money to get into this. I am now thinking of opening a store front. Now what's your story?Thank you to everyone who posts. Thank you to everyone who reads.

I smoked for 40 years and had given up trying to quit smoking after endless attempts. Stopped a local e-cig store and picked up an eGo clone just to see if it would help me cut down, the next day I had my last one. I'm also an accidental quitter, it was just way too easy, I keep fearing there will be some revenge factor coming down the road.

Walked into a local grocery store, Winn Dixie, and was sick of hiding the smoking from my wife and others. EVERYONE is always on your case about them and, of course, for a good reason. I wasn't able to have my morning smoke yet, as my wife was with me the whole day, so I picked up a disposable Metro Ecig. After a days worth of vaping, I was hooked and found ECF. ECF then helped me pick the right PV and the right cartos and here I am. Tomorrow marks 2 weeks of being smoke free!!!

To quit smoking. I had a friend who had done it and quit and they are gaining more and more popularity. I was put off at first by the ones I had seen at the flea market - they looked so cheesy. But after trying repeatedly to quit I finally asked her about hers (she had long since gotten rid of it though). Since we have a big family on a single income and it was a lot of money to put out for something that only MAY work (in my head, in my defense I couldn't have known!), I started doing a lot of research. And the more research I did the more confusing and scary it seemed - what if I picked the wrong one? But I found this forum and was helped more than I could ever repay, and now - yay! NO SMOKING!

My main reason was because I wanted to be healthy... I am not like all the others and feel like a young guy (I'm 25) and not many people my age have moved onto the vaping movement. Other reasons are I hated smelling like cigs, it cost me $5 a day! But the biggest one is I am a professional cook (Kitchen Supervisor now making my way up the ranks) and by quiting smoking my taste-buds have come back to life and my sense of smell is better than ever! I am never going back to analogs... and the technology on e-cigs just keeps getting better!

Like many others here I was an accidental quitter. I bought the ecig cause it was to cold to go outside every hour during work, so I figured I can use the ecig in the interim. After using analogs and ecigs for a few months, I just woke up one day and decided I was done with analogs. The scary part of this, was I didn't even have to try to quit, it just happened.

Well I wasn't planning on quitting smoking, but I saw this electronic cigarette and was thinking. I must try that ... was planning on buying greensmoke ... but was reading up and found some good forums ... guess which one ... Started with a 510-t and ordered a kit + extra LR atomizer and menthol/mint/red mix/joyetech mlb (all 11mg)... I swapped very fast to the LR atomizer and it was like wow ... I said i'll give this a week and see .. 5 days later I tried a real cigarette and I was disgusted by the taste ... never looked back since ... coming up on 6 months now & still vaping 11mg and never every looking back

Also when I was at work I needed to smoke ... now I don't have that urge anymore ... I can go without, but I do vape when I feel like it ... If it's a 1 hour vape, it is. If it's 2 drags, it is

It was my last stitch effort to get off cigs. I'd tried literally everything else. Wouldn't you know it, the last stitch effort turned out to be a miracle for me. Sure I had a few hiccups, and fell off the wagon a few times. But you know what? It worked. In the last two months, I've had two whole cigarettes, and not even because I wanted to smoke, I was just curious how bad it would taste. Conclusion? Bloody awful. I wish I'd known about ecigs the first time I tried to quit. Would have saved me a lot of money and aggrivation.

Harm reduction. :)

But after smoking heavily for 37 years and trying just about everything to quit, I'm quickly headed towards "accidental quitter" status. This is week 5 or 6. It's been three days without a single cigarette...up until now I've still been smoking a few per day. But I don't even want one now. I'm amazed that I don't but I'd rather vape. The trick for me at this point is having a good stash of yummy juices and cartos.

I've usually enjoyed tobacco products (even though I was always a little picky with how it tasted). I probably dabbled a few times with PVs (always the mini's) a few times, but was never really convinced until one day it occurred to me that I could drop cigarettes, keep my pipe for special occasions, and just vape instead. So far, it's stuck. I think I went through a week of substituting one for the other in my usual rituals and it just worked.

Well, I am sort of an accidential quitter, too. I started with a mini, out of curiosity. Just wanted to see if this would actually work since I had developed a smokers cough. Didn't really think it would get me to totally quit. Well, it did, within 1 day! I since moved on to a LavaTube and haven't had a cigi, don't want a cigi, and my cough is just about gone..... I'm loving it! :vapor:

I tried patches, kept falling off. Gums and lozenges, kept getting mouth sores. Cold turkey, kept having horrible thoughts of a violent nature. Bought an XHale O2 from the liquor store, 5 puffs a cart and hated it. I finally bought a Royal 2 bubble pack from a smoke shop and loved it. I did hate the cost of the cartos and the burnt taste after a half a day. I bought the Blu from Wallygreens and never touched a cigarette again. After about a month I gave it to my father in law after getting a 510-T and have since moved on to eGo's and its vv frankenbattery. I have been cigarette free for roughly 3 months now and loving it. I never wanted to quit, the vapors just interested me. Now that I notice my health returning I am glad I did. Finding the 510's and eGo's has allowed me to keep doing what I enjoy, smoking, while being able to live.

Ron -

P.S. another great side effect of vaping is I am able to raid much more in WoW now that I don't have to take a break in between bosses to go outside and have a cig!!!
