Well I quit smoking the week I found out I was pregnant, and it was helpful with the knowledge that there was a fetus I could hurt if I did smoke. I knew once I had the baby I'd want to start again immediately and boy was I right. Meanwhile, while I was pregnant, my husband quit for the baby as well and started vaping. So New Year's Day the baby is born, and my husband, who we had all been "gently" reminding that having a baby should deserve a push gift, presents me with a small wrapped box. My first eGo-T kit in pink!! Haven't stopped vaping since and will have been smoke free since last Mother's Day!

I'm trying to tell, please excuse mistakes in English.

I smoked cigarettes for almost 25 years. About 2 years ago I saw on the Internet e-cigarettes, such with deposits. But I found it very expensive in this time, more expensive than smoking. I ignored the health aspect.

Finally, I was smoking 30 cigarettes a day. Sometimes I felt bad, but I could not get it.

Then I looked on the internet again, this time I saw eGo cigarettes with liquids. And I ordered a set. I liked to vape. Although I had problems with the liquid because of pure VG, but with dual coils it was better then.

Now I do not miss any more cigarettes. I feel good.

Started Vaping on March 2nd 2012 had been a smoker for 24 years, stopped by a local vender and bought a usb passthrough and some diffrent atomizers and a fiew diffrent liquids. By the next day i was hooked i tried an analog about a week later and had 2 puffs and put it out and couldnt believe that i smoked those disgusting analogs for so long. Now ive graduated to a LAVATUBE and DCT tanks with 3 ohm cartos and making my own e liquid in 30 diffrent flavors. I quit because my wife hates the stench of smoking and the cost and also i have a 2 year old daughter that id like to see grow up get married and have grandchildren and smoking can cut that short. Now my wife calls me the Vapor junkie. lol.

One day in the morning i just could not stand the full ashtray anymore ... i smoked again more than 2 packs the previous night, and i just told myself "F... i dont want to quit but i definitly need to reduce my cigs".
I then looked a lot of sites and youtube videos with all the mini-e-cigarettes and found in many of them comments with "dont buy these get a good one" - "start with at least an ego-t"

first impression in the shop was "damn in austria they dont sell liquids with nicotine ... this will never work"

but thank god i tried it worked out pretty well :)

Icubed001, congratulations on recognizing your needs and following through on getting smoke free! You will start to feel so much better. However, do see your doctor. He may have some insights for you as your body adjusts to being smoke free. I was told that I could actually see an increase in congestion for 5 to 10 months as the body starts to "rebuild" and purge itself of all the years of smoke nastiness. He told me to use an over the counter decongestant that I felt comfortable taking and that wouldn't react with any other medications I'm taking. Anyway, see your doctor, and if nothing else he/she will be extremely happy with the direction you are taking. And welcome to ECF!

Kia2 - Thanks for the info! I would have thought it would not take that long to "clear out" so to speak. I think i will give my Dr. a call. I appreciate the suggestion!

And, one other thing, most important: drink a lot of water. Vaping will dehydrate you. Drink water.

I have been trying, i have read that. I have really notived a difference in the amount of water i use at night in my cpap machine humidifier! But I am still happy with the experince so far. Besides, who doesnt need to drink more water :)

I never really tried to quit analogs, just bought a BLU kit from the local store to try, I figured it would be a good idea for work and in the car. I only smoked maybe 10-15 analogs aday and figured the BLUs would help me cut back even more. after trying them I started investigating better units thru ECF and quit analogs altogether when I recieved my 808 starter kit. I think I vape more than I smoked!

Thanks so much. I did get pulled over driving thru Keyport. The officer thought I had an analog while at a traffic light. Can't smoke with children in the car there. He was a bit taken back :) I do love vaping. Although I had a thousand reasons to quit the thing that pushed me was the same as many. The love I have for my grandchildren. This site has really helped. The knowledgeable people, encouragement and caring gave me the help I needed to break a 40 plus years habit :)....

I used to love smoking and I tried vaping just from curiosity ... only for a few hours, but then I couldn't smoke anymore my lovely rolling tobacco cigarettes because I felt them as dirty and poisonous for my body!!!
Once in a while I try to smoke and every time is a failure: the first 2-3 seconds are somewhat fine, but then the whole thing becomes disgusting:nah:
Nevermore ...
