What type are they laurae09? Are they filler type carto's, Joye or E2's. 510'2, 808-D's etc. Have a look at your invoice and it might tell you.

Are you vaping on them 'as is' or are you using a 'drip tip'. The bigger hole of the drip tip adds to the airy-ness. I sometimes use a flat tip from a cartridge instead of the white plug. It's just that little bit smaller, also restricting the flow.

The easiest thing I do is stick my finger over one or two air holes (near the battery connection). Makes a little bit of difference. There are other means as well.

Here is an easy way to fix the airy draw on some cartomizers.

Take a carto condom like this...

and cut a section off like such...

then make a partial cut along one edge like this..

Then slip this over your cartomizer and slide it down so it covers one of the draw holes like this.
You can also cover two holes or one and a half or whatever you like. A simple fix that works well.

cheers,
Neil

That's hilarious - I was just getting back on to post pictures very similiar because I thought of that last night while I was sitting here staring at all the little holes and one of those was sitting next to it!!! Work's great doesn't it! I can now enjoy all the different ones I have stockpiled that I didn't like due to this fix! Yeah - no more money out of my pocket for awhile!!!

You should post that as it's own post with a title like "Fix for those cartos you aren't so sure you like" or something!

You're right of course so I went ahead and posted this in the "Tips and Tricks" section too.

I have been trying for 2 months to figure out how to put something around there without it being my fingers or hard to take off or not quite snug - how much better could it be and right in front of our faces....LOL:)

I never have had any luck getting ANY vapor out of the few carto's I have, maybe this will help! Nice tip!

The only one I like is the Genuine Joye 510 cartomizer - it isn't airy from the get go, don't even use this on them.

I have 10 other new carts, well two of the Boges used once and one of the other ones used once, I want to sell them but someone put on my classified post that it was gross to sell used ones (I had boiled them). So I guess I will just hold on to them for emergency purposes. I didn't think it was gross - they are clean. I don't know but I ordered 40 new prefilled Joye's and will just stick those in the drawer I guess.

Boiled cartos should be discarded. They're actually not clean and probably still have a funky taste, are probably hard to draw on, and could have mold inside. I posted a msg in the Cartomizer Issues section this morning about why I threw out all of the cartos that I cleaned using two different methods when experimenting with cleaning cartomizers.

Cartos are supposed to be disposed of. My experiments led me to believe that they should be tossed after using them for three to five weeks, if they have been refilled several times during that time.
