why do I feel so many vapers like to "collect" and hoard PVs?

I think the hobby part is what got me off the analogs (analogs are not much fun, right?)
but I don't see myself as a hoarder, I have pif all my egos, clearos and my once loved zmax. I now have a nemesis that I use 90% of the time and a chi you, I just closed the doors to the "looking for the perfect vape" and ordered a second nemesis as backup.

the real hobby for me is in the topper department I have 7 rdas, (waiting for 4 mor in the mail) and 3 rtas

Much of my gear has been bought for two reasons: 1. Chasing my perfect vape. 2. Accumulating backup supplies. I've found what works for me so its been a while since I've been tempted to try something new but if the need arises or something catches my eye I'm not ruling it out. I do have to admit to hoarding though but that's mainly out of concernss about my vaping life being affected by the nut jobs and the corrupt.

just thinking about this for a while and I guess my wife plays a big role here for me... she hates everything vape related so I tend to keep it simple, she hated it every time I got new juice bottles, so I started DIY (that's one big purchase and now she sees the same 3 bottles even though I use about 5ml a day and keep mixing every week and have a LOT of flavors!)
if it wasn't for her I think that I would definitely hoard a lot more DIFFERENT mods than I have (I want a brass nemesis, both caravelas, the origin etc...) but this made me realize that I really don't need them and I'm really happy with my modest collection.

the good part is that the wife just sees a stainless steel tube and a drip tip, she's a bit of mod blind, doesn't differentiates between them but don't want to push the envelope!

And half a dozen (or so) other eGo batteries, and about 15 more clearos.

(I don't have duplicate VTRs or eVics)

No hording or collecting, but I don't mind if other people want to call it that.

YMMV

:)

I have a ridiculous number of mods, tanks, and other vape equipment because I'm generally a compulsive person....when a hobby is interesting to me, and that's what vaping has become for me, I tend to buy way more than I need, but less than I want as I always want more...if money were no object, I'm sure my collection would be bigger than it is now...

Add me as a "Me too"! I would probably have to add another room on the house to accommodate what I would collect!

I had the same obsession years ago with pipes. Vape gear is like collecting guns, knives, or anything else. You can never have enough. Every once in a while, you say "That's it; I don't need any more". Until the next unicorn comes along.
