I have never been interested in politics. Could not care less about regulations by the FDA because I feel i have no choice but to follow their restrictions. Since vaping, I feel different - a more stronger defense about my rights. Why do they keep referring to e-cigs as tobacco products even though there is NO tobacco. Who are they to regulate nicotine after widely accepting analogs as long as they have their fingers in the warning label put on packs? I am angry, confused and distraught over someone deciding what I can put in my body. Other things are legal in my state up to a point and "they" are talking about restricting my juice? Does not the American people have a say? Sorry for the rant....just keeping up on news and getting angrier by the second. I do not spend $7.00 a pack on analogs anymore so they are concerned about the $5.00 per 10 ml I spend on juice, which contains less worrisome chemicals than the common Oreo cookie? I am perplexed, angry and ready to advocate. I will DIY before I let the government convince me that analogs are okay but e-cigs are not. Sorry, wrong forum, but dang - at 46 I have lived through 30 years of analogs, lost my teeth to gum disease because of them, lost relatives because of them and I will vape if I so choose, no matter what it takes.

Thanks to (so far) lack of government control, thanks to this community and my local vape shop:

it's all about the money ... I am sure BT is freaking out at the success people are having with quitting smokes using ejuice.

I do expect BT will influence the FDA and HC to gain the market share on nic juice ... and I expect prices to increase up to 1000%.

I also expect nicotine base will become almost impossible to obtain outside of the black market.

The following generations of smokers will be vapers ... all controlled by the same usual suspects.

Ick. i hate politics but if it will preserve my right to vape, I am all for advocating. I quit analogs thanks to vaping . It is not my fault that they cannot regulate such products because they will lose money. My investment into "tobacco products" i.e. analogs has ceases. I have seen sever co-workers switch to vaping in a DESPERATE effort to get away from analogs. I now see that our government is not interested in the welfare of life but in big money. Sad. I am now venturing into DIY juice, which takes time and money that I don't really have. Never considered myself a vape survivalist but hey, if they leave me no choice I will go underground. our government is so backwards.

Yeah, it took vaping issues to open my eyes too.
I imagine that makes me shallow, and I am sure I used to be a sheeple.

But now I'm not, and that's a good step in the right direction.
And for that I thank all of the ANTZ for helping to open my eyes to how the world works.

To specifically answer this question, this is why everyone talks about it being a tobacco product...
The FDA & Deeming Regulations of E-cigarettes

Does not the American people have a say?
When the FDA propose their upcoming "deeming regulations" the public will have a say.
Again I would direct you to the link above for further information on that.

I am perplexed, angry and ready to advocate.
