Why do we like clicky buttons?

Tactile feedback. Plain and simple. I love my 78mm Volt batteries, but I really like the X2 batteries with a slightly bigger button and a deeper depression. Granted this could be bad if it took a lot of effort to push the button or it had a longer throw distance.

I think it just comes down to "knowing" you have engaged the battery.

Thats my two pennies anyway.

It seems that a nice clicky button on a PV gives feedback that is enjoyable. Many of us like our big clicky buttons and I wonder why?

If a Provari for example, updated their device, would a bigger clicky bottom be appreciated? Love to hear your thoughts! :)

Shame on you. Note to ProVari: Do not ever change the button!

I have to agree! Something about the button clicking and lighting up to show I am really connected! Same goes for my computer and my digital camera - clicks make things work or so my brain keeps telling me.

Cheers and Happy Vaping!

That is interesting, as I think Provari may have designed their button the way they did to avoid issues down the line. When I first got my Provari, I thought I wanted a clicky button but soon forgot about it as the device was so rock solid!
By the way...I just spent 6 months in Seeley Lake MT, BIG SKY COUNTRY! :)
I'm almost anti-clicky. The only buttons I've ever had completely fail were all clicky. The only ones I've ever had start to stick were clicky ones too. I sort of prefer horn switches and plunger-style buttons.

It's funny how attached we get to tactile and aural feedback. I had my first auto 78mms and wasn't satisfied unless I could hear that carto working. Then I switched to manual Volt X2s, and ohhhhhh yeah clicky clicky. A friend has an auto X2, and I can't get into it without the clicky button.

I'm sitting here using a Zenesis mini... mechanical bottom button. No clicky. No carto sound... it's completely silent. It shocked me on day 1 when I exhaled a cloud that looked like it might actually rain e-juice, cause there was no indication that the device was working very hard. LOL

I vastly prefer the clickyness. I've had and used my fair share of devices with soft buttons and they just don't give you that positive feedback. I love the button on my buzzpro in terms of clickyness but I just wish it was bigger. The provari button is good, but I wish it had a little more confirmation other than the light - I find myself mashing provari buttons down to make sure it fires.
