Hairball... how do you like the Touchwood 18650?

How's the vape on it? Is it only 3.7v? Can you stack batteries and get 6v or 5v out of it?

Not sure why you bought it if you have a provari, but who am I since I have a darwin. so hairball sites the 10 sec cutoff as a bad thing. I'm a respiratory therapist and what I want to know is who needs or can take a 10sec drag

I bought a Lavatube out of curiosity. Nope, no thanks. 10 second cutoff sucks. After having a ProVari, China can keep these things.

10 second cutoff?? are you kidding. I tried taking a continuous drag for 10 seconds and if thats not enough to fill your lungs I don't know what to tell you...I think for most this is a non issue

Heyas folks,

Personally, I like a 6 to 7 second drag, but many like much longer drags. The purpose isn't to suck as much in to your lungs as you can in 10 seconds. The purpose of a long drag (usually) is to draw in to your mouth for the whole length of the drag. This allows the carto more time to heat the juice. Then ya inhale it. This way, you get alot more and alot warmer vapor.

If you just draw straight into your lungs, most folks I know just end up coughing since the vapor has no time to sit in your mouth and cool. If you take a nice, long, slow drag into your mouth, and THEN inhale, you get a mouthfull of warm tasty vapor, which is also cool enough not to choke on as you inhale.

Obviously, everyones tastes are different. And, everyones method of vaping is different. To each his or her own :)

Not to get a lavatube because of a "ten second cutoff" is simply a BAD move......
I smoked analogs for 39 years, and if I "wasn't addicted to nicotine" I don't know who is.
I have NEVER felt the need for a 10 second vape and I have been vaping since July 2011, 18 mg nic e-liquid with a silver bullet.
I have had my Lavatube for about 2 weeks now and I can say nothing but good things about it, it does exactly what it says it will do, all for around 70 bucks.
Anyone interested in a Variable Voltage Vaping Device should have ordered one yesterday!!!

Wow. When I first started vaping I inhaled like a cig: into mouth then inhale to lungs with air then exhale. A friend of a friend introduced me to "direct lunging" and I never went back. After reading your nicely written post, I tried what I haven't tried in years and now I can't decide which I like more. Thanks for adding to my already too long list of indecision Max! hahaha

Everyone has their own opinions but personally I don't like the Lavatube. I vape like I smoked, draw, inhale, and immediately draw and inhale again. 10 seconds it too short for me but to each his own......you get what you pay for in this industry.

As to why I bought it when there are 2 ProVari's in this household? I like to try different mods. My DH is the sole user of the ProVari's...me, I'm a Buzz fan. Sorry but nothing beats American made mods!

Mine just stopped working after 1/2 day of use... Voltage reads fine, button pressing doesn't fire though

Edit : apparently you can't screw your atty all the way down, these threads are screwy in this that none of my atties fit well, even the lavatube one

Just out of curiosity, are those Avidvaper attys that aren't fitting the threading? It's known that Avid has had issues in this regard... threading difficulties. It could be possible that trying to thread such attys could have screwed up the threading on the 510 connector and messed it up for your original LavaTube atty. Just wondering.

btw, Avid will work with you on this issue if you start a ticket... at least in replacing the attys. Don't know what to say if the LT connector is boinked.

Oh I see. Taking longer drag to heat things up ..I tried that....I just crank up voltage or power if thats what I want. Use LR cartomizers if all you have is 3.7v. But to each their own..If ten+ seconds does it for you then have at it..Well I tested the Tox from gotvapes and it was still going at 15seconds. now let me try the lavatube-yep cuts off around 10-11 sec
