as far as I'm concerned it's a scientific fact and anyone saying different is fooling themselves

I choose to be respectful of others instead of the in your face attitude.

I reject your "facts" and insert my own reality.

What has not been proven or disregarded does nothing to prove a point either way. Lack of proof means exactly that.

And for the record the pg and vg of vapor have long been used and studied. I'm not posting proof. If you want a leg to stand on do some leg work yourself. Differentiate. Learn. Earn your opinion then post it. Not the other way around.

I'll reject your advice and make my own decsions.

Does this mean sticking your fingers in your ears and going "la-la-la, I can't hear more current research"? Or is there some motive you are not revealing that would otherwise preclude you from following the evolved understanding of nicotine and tobacco related addiction based on the synergistic effect of all the primary chemicals involved in smoking, as opposed to nicotine alone.

If so, I'd be fascinated to hear that motive. Will you share it with me and the community?

It's a shame the community is facing such ignorance, malice and possible destruction by the hands of ANTZ, BP, BT, FDA, WHO and the media. Meantime we're kicking and scratching trying to do the best for ourselves and constantly improve the safety and knowledge of our products via great, qualified individuals with resources like Dr. Konstantino Farsalinos. Then we have to fight to educate those that are supposed to be part of the community and come in spreading garbage due to preconceived notions and opinions. Those too set on their ways to see the forest for the trees and too ignorant, defensive and lazy to even look for the forest after being handed the map, car, gas and keys.

It's an injustice for this community to be burdened with this inner struggle.

Fighting to educate the willfully ignorant is a losing battle -- you know what they say: ignorance can be taught; stupidity is forever. You can't teach anyone who's quite sure they already know everything about everything. Fortunately most of us outgrow that.

It is a historically proven fact that no one has ever converted someone to their point of view by arguing.

What is agreed on:
-Quitting cigarettes is VERY HARD. Call it whatever, it is extremely hard and most smokers fail to quit at least once.
-Smoking is bad and no further proof is required.
-vaping makes quitting cigarettes a whole lot easier and sometimes even a natural move.
-We don't know how safe vaping is, but we can definitely feel the difference and there is no evidence yet that it could prove nearly as fatal as smoking is.

To me, the rest is just arguments going in circles. Quitsies, double-stamped, no erasies !

The "having something to do with my hands" aspect of vaping extends from my active personality. I like to watch TV while doing scales, finger exercises, and runs on my guitar (unplugged). It irritates my wife, so I don't do it when we watch together, but I'm fiddling with something most of the time. I vape as a continuing habit ( at low nic ) because inhaling and exhaling relaxes me somewhat and the 6mg nic I get is touted by the medical community as desirable for enhancing mental acuity.

Vaping probably gave me an extra decade of life compared to continued smoking. As I've said many times before, I have no plans to quit vaping. If it turns out through valid and repeatable medical studies from reliable sources that vaping is deadly or imminently damaging, then I will re-evaluate my thinking.

Exactly my thoughts, on quitting vaping. Of course I do have to take my asthma into account, so there may be some actual reason to quit, at some point. I figure it's not even worth thinking about until I've been off cigarettes for at least 5 yrs; after that, then I may need to evaluate my overall health and state of my asthma, vs. likelihood of succumbing to cigarette temptation.

Haha not necessarily a loser... Just, a lot of us had been smoking so long that a buzz was a long forgotten memory. Smoking is an addiction, even without the buzz. Vaping gives us a healthier way to satisfy or even overcome that addiction.

If you quit cigs you are not a loser. I quit a 50 year habit if two packs a day because if vaping. Nic level down to 12. At 18 I looked for buzz in alcohol and drugs. Not worth it. Get high now on my Harley, riding the back roads and vaping.

Thank you for sharing with me.

The "having something to do with my hands" aspect of vaping extends from my active personality.
I am a very fidgety person, and I can not sit still very well.
I have a very high metabolism, and my foot is almost always tapping.

So trying to relax takes some effort, or perhaps I should say it takes a significant lack of effort.
Keeping my hands busy, while letting my mind wander, really works for me.

Smoking did that for me, and now vaping does that for me.

My wife used to get mad because I "shake" one of my feet when I'm lying in bed at night.
So we got a mattress and topper that prevent the "shaking" from propagating.

But sometimes I still "shake" my foot too hard.
Usually when I'm thinking too hard about something.

I vape to satisfy my nicotine cravings, i get enjoyment out of vaping when drinking,or just after dinner, or when sitting in a crapper. I also vape because i firmly believe is cleaner than analogs; the odorless, no ashes in my car, and no second hand smoking are a big plus.

1 downside to me has been that, it has turned into a hobby and I'm splurging money i should be saving instead hahah

ROFL! My ex always told me I could make a cup of coffee nervous. :D Since I DRASTICALLY reduced my caffeine intake, I don't fidget anymore -- but on the rare occasions I drink a Dr Pepper, I feel like my head is about to explode! :D

I think if you go back and read my posts you will see I'm pro vaping and pro smoking, however I also understand there's a public concern from others and I choose to be respectful of others instead of the in your face attitude. Many aspects of vaping and its health concerns have yet to be known so lets not act as if we know it all already. That's rather short sited.

This study is probably the benchmark for ecig studies. It was conducted by a reputable university medical school and included thousands of participants. If you read through the entire report, you come away with a conclusion that vaping is probably no more harmful than breathing air that we come in contact with in the course of a normal work day. It's worth a read.
