About two months ago, I was sitting on the couch and my 3 year old little boy said "daddy I need to go out on the porch" I can see the porch from my couch so I naturally say "ok buddy go ahead then" and laughed.

I look outside and see him holding his hand up to his mouth and pretending to smoke....I walk outside and ask him what he is doing to which he replies "Smokin daddy just a minute" (obviously something I have said to him in the past)! He then proceeded to go over the .... can in the corner and throw away his smoke.

From that day on I have not had an analog smoke. Sometimes we don't realize the impact we have on our little ones.

Smoked nearly 33 years and did a lot of research and reading on forums, looking for pros and cons of vaping. Made the decision to try it out last November and in January of this year took the plunge to full time vape and have not looked back. The downside is just the learning curve it takes to find what's right for you, the upside, well there's much to say for the upside. No smell to you, your breath, your vehicle etc, no burned spots from knocking the head off your cigarette, no extra chemicals to carry around to kill the smell or ruining of clothes, the interior of your furniture or vehicle. I tend to stand away from a "traditional smoker", but don't preach, if they ask I tell and try not to make a big deal out of it. I can now vape anywhere I need to, although I won't smoke in non smoking areas to avoid confrontation. Haven't traveled with it yet, but I'm sure from reading other posts that it won't be an issue.
I started with Green Smoke, but the inconsistencies were just not tolerable. I now use a tornado from Totally Wicked and couldn't be happier. I vape because I loved to smoke and will probably continue till the day I die. I make my own juices, I modify when I can and some work well, some don't. Overall I really enjoy the choice I made to vape, tried quitting many times and was miserable. This keeps me from killing someone and there are so many choices to keep it interesting. Hopefully there won't be a ban in NY and we won't have to find yet another alternative to our addictions. It works for me and many others as I've read along the way. So that's why I vape........;)

I started vaping because I like some others was tired of smelling bad and worrying about the health of those around me. I was one of those smokers who LOVE to smoke.. I figured I would give it a shot and I wish I had found these years ago. I was a pack and half a day smoker for 20+ years Since I started vaping I have smoke only a couple of times (we were drinking and my cart dried out) I made it about 2 drags in and tossed it away.. HURRAY FOR VAPING!!!!

That's an easy question for me. I vape because:
1) I am not allowed to smoke, or an looked down upon (to put it politely) for doing so
2) I can't afford to smoke at the rate I like. A few cigarettes here and there don't do it for me. I chain smoke.

Everything else is secondary. Yes, vaping is a cool hobby and all the flavors and trying out new equipment is fun, but if it weren't for the two things I mentioned, I wouldn't bother with vaping.
