Why I will never buy another eGo Twist~

I will start by saying that I love my other eGo's. I have a 1100 mAh set voltage and an eGo pass-through. Both of them work amazing and have never given me problems.

The design of the eGo twist board is horrific. I have one friend whos ego twist had wires disconnect from the circuit board, I have personally had 2 eGo twists disconnect from the board, and have seen my roomates ego break in the same way.... That is 4 ego twists I have seen die in under 2 months. I will NOT be buying an ego twist ever again. I am not saying ego's are bad, I love mine. I am saying that ego twist is a very poorly designed PV.

pfft k. i had an ego v2 1100mah w/ lcd do the same thing with very little encouragement.
that's when i decided no more little electrical batteries.

Yeah, I decided to go to APV's because of this. The connector wires are VERY poorly soldered to the circuit board.

I suggest anyone reading this post to disregard it until the Manufacturer is identified.

This post is useless. There are many manufacturers making versions of the Ego Twist. Without mentioning the manufacturer of the unit or the store where you bought it you are making a blanket statement about the quality of a design of E-Cig and not properly identifying the product.

A imperfect analogy.
Hot Sauce is no good. It tasted peppery, was thin and wasn't hot enough. Don't buy Hot Sauce.

I agree with the post above mine.. HOtsauce is incosistant.. I had a good one the other day.. but then i had hotsauce that made me hurt the next morning.. would not ever buy hotsauce again.. or peppers for that matter.

Do you know for sure that it was a genuine Joyetech?? If you went with a knockoff fo $5-10 less then you got burned. If they died under 2 months... get em replaced under waranty if they are Joye, contact the vendor and let them know.

Under what circumstances is this disconnection happening? Are you dropping them on hard surfaces?
Knock on wood, I have 3 Ego Twists - genuine Joyetech brand. No problems with any of them, so far.

I agree...I want to know what brand those Twists were, and what vendor carries them. I'd also like to know under what circumstances the disconnection happened. To many open ended questions here. Until I get more details...I'm going to disregard the OP.

I had two of them that worked great for the month I had them. When I moved to 18650 mods, I gifted them to my brother. He has been using them for 2 months with no problems. It is a great product if you buy the real ones.

I have 4 ego twists and each one works flawlessly. The op has had bad luck or needs to find a better vendor lol. Don't knock the brand just cus you had problems. There's a reason its one of the most popular vv devices. If everyone was having problems like the OP states, it would've gotten that rep a long time ago & they wouldn't be selling like hot cakes.

Agreed with everyone else. Not enough info on the product to be a creditable post. I have 2 Joye ego twist, 1000 and 650 and LOVE them.

I have Two 1000mah, one 650mah and a 450 mini twists. I have used them for 3 months now. Maybe not enough time to evaluate but so far I have not had a problem with any of them. They seem quite solid and reliable to me. I have even dropped one of the 1000s a couple of times. Maybe the OP's are some kind of cheap clone?

What I have a Problem with is the Fallacy of Totality.

I read a thread and 3 or 4 people say that an eGo Twist is Garbage and the Wires Fall Off.

OK... But how many eGo Twists are out there? What is the Defective Percentage? 4 out of 100? 4 out of 1,000? 4 out of 100,000?

All I know is that the wires haven’t fallen of my eGo Twist. That and I like Hot Sauce.

I have 4 twists. 1 of 4, the wires fell off. Took me 3 minutes to solder them back on. Just heated up the existing solder on the board. No problems since.

I had 2 genuine joyetech twists from totally wicked that both popped apart with regular pocket wear and almost instantaneous had the wires break off. One popped apart twice before all wires pulled off.

The real question is, as pointed out above, how many of these issues with these Twist are Actual OEM JoyeTech?

As far as I know there is no JoyeTech eGo model with an LCD screen on it - though they don't list their 18650 Mod eGo either on their website - so don't 100% quote me on that.

I have four GENUINE JOYETECH EGO TWISTS purchased from Cignot.com. The oldest is six months, the newest, 5 months. Perfect performance, no problems of any kind. I've never heard of the defects described here, and I read a lot of reviews.

BTW, I'm curious ... since the eGo Twist is a sealed unit, how does OP know about the broken circuit board wires? I suggest that any trauma to the Twist sufficient to do that kind of damage indicates either fake knock-off units or some really serious abuse.
