Bad connection.
Loose leads, loose pin, bad 510 contact.
I'd do a full tear down.

Bad wrapping, coil touching the base, screw(s) not turned down tight enough, bad clone. Could be a thousand and one other things.
Try it again, keep your wraps a little tighter and neater, ensure your screws are tightened and check again.
