The best part about kayfuns was/is the ability to customize them. Chimney logos, colored tanks, different top caps, bell caps, slam caps, and the list continues. With some extra knowledge, alot of the tank sections are compatible with silverplay, orchid, and those tube rtas also(having a silverplay chimney unlocks full compatibility altho between the parts/bases. the bottom threads are orchid/tube chamber size/threads and the top threads of the chimney is kayfun threaded.

No longer own my silverplay but kept its coil chamber peice(top chimney was threaded and useless to me). Between my orchid, tube, and kayfun, you can call me "King of the slam caps" LOL i have 24 backup caps incase they break from dropping.

Kayfun on left, tube rta on right(using silverplay chimney to allow slamcap use)

Ok so looking at the v3 mini & wondering what the difference is with the plus. More capacity would be good but not a deal breaker. Is there more room to build? Is the performance the same? I've read about tanks like the atlantis losing flavor with the extended chimney and glass.

The v3 has top fill, has a bit more air, thus the ability to increase the power a tad more. Also has juice control which also allows for that little extra power and for thicker juices. Comes stock with a glass tank instead of plastic and although it has a slightly reduced build area, it allows for a slightly warmer vape and maybe a bit more flavor. I have 5 kfl's and don't vape them anymore since the km3 came out ( well actually since the erlkonigin, km3, gem, ka6, and evl reaper and a couple others came out). It's been over 2 years since I vaped the kfl & kfl plus

My own prejudice, smaller tanks will give dense, moist vape with less user labor.
The plus increased capacity comes more from diameter than height.
BTW where did you find one?..
@daviedog If you mean the Kayfun lite plus, origin vapes has the authentic in stock for a limited time. I think $54.99.

The Kayfun was a revolutionary tank. Many other models are based upon the same idea.

The Kayfun lite then the Kayfun lite plus, have great airflow which is sort of a tight airflow, which produces more concentrated vape. IMO,often imitated, never duplicated. Even the Kayfun Monsters, which were sort of a backlash to companies replicating the Kayfun idea, dont have that nice tight airflow. My monsters sit in mothballs. Its because like some other tanks, in rearranging the juice flow to create more vape and widening the airflow, they lost something. That something is that nice tight full vape the Kayfun produces. Also when you do that the chances of leaking greatly increase. And like others have said, the Kayfun doesnt leak when properly assembled.

Within Kayfun production itself, you can find all kinds of different designs in different clones, which does make a difference.

I recently built a Kayfun for my kid, from collected parts that I have. He said it blew the Conqueror dual coil atomizer I sent him completely away.

I bought my Russian 91% about three years ago now, and it's still pretty much the only thing I vape on, daily. I've tried many many other things, but IMO, it's probably the best RTA ever made, for a few reasons.

  • High build quality, it's really hard to beat the craftsmanship that goes into one of these things. They're sturdy enough that I don't have to worry about breaking it. Teamed up with a provari it's practically a bulltproof vape setup.
  • Simplicity in design. Call me crazy but when I see an overly complex looking tank, the first thing I usually think is "looks like there's a lot going on there that could go wrong." The kayfun lite (R91) is sleek, simple and doesn't give me concern for it's longevity. I bought a second one just in case this one ever goes out, I'm not sure I'll need it though.
  • It just works. It does what it's supposed to do, every time, exactly as i anticipate it to. There's never any wonkiness in the vape. If I get dry hits it's because I did a ....ty wicking job. I'll not likely ever use anything else.

Why Kayfun? As stated here it's a classic because of it's design and excellent quality. If you're already thinking about it I would recommend getting an authentic Kayfun 5.

You will love the build quality and feel of it and it'll make you happy every time you handle it. The quality of the components ensures a smooth and efficient vape every time.

It'll stay a performer for years on end and once you get the hang of building and wicking it's easy as pie to work with. There are spares and extra accessories available in abundance so you're not locked in and you can shake it up when you feel the need.

It's very versatile and unless you're searching for crazy clouds you can vape any way you like on it. It's an investment, true, but you'll use it alot for a long time. It will also retain its value as opposed to a knock-off or run-of-the-mill latest chinese affordable. You can sell this thing in two years.

Your mileage may vary, of course, but if you're interested in quality vapes the odds are a Kayfun will make you happy indeed.

The mini v3 plus is the same as the mini v3 except that it's wider. The build deck is a bit bigger, but the main difference is juice capacity and esthetics. It simply looks better on my provari.

Ok so wanted to update everyone. I finally pulled the trigger on a 3.1 clone by cigreen. Cost about $12. I know fastech is cheaper but it arrived in 2 days so I didn't mind the extra couple bucks. I first built a coil with the included 32ga wire and it did surprisingly well at 2.25 ohms. I did that one on a 2mm id and the wicking wasn't great so I used 27ga on a 1/8 id at 1.25. Now that's what I was looking for. I love being able to take a long drag without worrying about coughing. Only thing I find is I'd like a little bit more airflow but very happy overall. Thanks to everyone for the advice.

3.1 clone? Are you talking about the kayfun mini v3? If so have you tried opening up the airflow all the way?

No mini v3 is what I had planned to get. I was looking at both and basically picked this one because the delivery was about a week sooner and they had more than one (was shopping for my wife & figured I'd get myself one too). Should have looked back at this before ordering but I like the 3.1.

3.1 clone? But was it ever made by SvoeMesto?
I believe 3.1 is a Chinese thing, so, no "originals"...

Oldschool...

Kayfun 3.1 – SvoëMesto

If you don't know what a 3.1 is then you're a newbie. Anyone who knows their original Kayfuns knows what the 3.1 is. The 3.1 is an updated version of their V3, and yes, it was made by SvoeMesto. I have one.
