For me, it was a just a question of being fed up with things breaking and having to be sent back every 5 minutes, and then messing about with stuff that was only half-working most of the time.
I only have one mod (a Saber Touch that I just love) and a couple of Joye eGos for back-up, and that's about perfect. I don't think I really need anything else. The Saber works beautifully, day in and day out, and has a 5 year warranty, while the eGos are cheap enough that they can always be replaced without breaking the bank.
