First e-cig was 2010. The way things change, it feels more like 30 years ago. There's a few very small/limited vape shops in my area. I like to support them, so I'll drop in to buy a tank or a few coils and look at the new stuff. For the most part, I still search online for the best prices. For juice, I actually pay more online because the vendor I use is the only one who has the two flavors that I like...and that hasn't changed in six years.
For me, it's great to have a local shop for the occasional small items I may (or may not) need. For newbies, having a store to look at equipment, get questions answered, recommendations and advice given, and the ability to try juices before you buy them, is a luxury I didn't have as a newbie. And at some point, I know there will be something in the store that I've got to have without waiting or caring about spending a little more for it.
It's great to have the shops, but in my particular vaping situation, I think most will find them more useful than I do...at least right now.
