Why taste such a big deal when vaping but I don't care how my "nails" taste?

I am a newb vaper but completly agree. This is why i think brick and mortar shops are so important. My suggestion is to seek one out even if its at a distance that will allow you to sample juices. If not you could spend hundreds trying to find a juice you love. If this is not an option order sample packs from various suppliers. Give the suppliers feedback on each juice recognizing your likes and dislikes and ask if they can create a custom juice for you.

Best of luck to you.

I think that is a very good question, and my thinking is that there are a couple of factors involved...
--When you have so many options, perhaps you tend to get a little bit more picky
--If your equipment is a hassle, having a good flavor can overcome the hassle and make it more worth the effort

At this point, if my vape was tasteless I would still choose it over smoking.
But that is only because my vaping setup and routine are completely free from hassle.

If I had a tasteless vape and things were also a hassle, that would be a very different story I suspect.

So, y'all are telling me that while it's worth it to find flavors and vapor performance I like, sooner or later I'm *still* going to have to "quit smoking."
I hope no one is telling you that, and I certainly would not agree with it in general.
Having said that, I am sure it is certainly true for some people.

If there is one thing I've learned here over the years, it's that we are all different.

Some people like to fiddle with things, and can afford to try new things all the time.
These people might get enough distraction that they forget all about cigarettes and concentrate more on improving their vaping experience.

I think regardless, most people reach a point where vaping becomes a better experience in many ways then smoking was.
When you reach that point, you are usually home free with no looking back.

And there are also people that find there was something they got from cigarettes that is missing from vaping.
These people still struggle even no matter what, even when they have ironed out all the issues and hassles that bother them about vaping.

When a person finds themselves in that position, they might be a good candidate to try some WTA juice...

I think if you are vaping anytime you would be smoking then you are heading in the right direction , thats the way I looked at it. I was lucky in the end that analogs were just tasting to0 bad to continue with them after I had been vaping for a month.

I agree with Ohai ,don't put pressure on your self and let it happen at your pace.

I change flavors all day long although now I am switching between the same four flavors and not trying to find that perfect juice. I tried ALOT of juice in my short amount of vaping time and was lucky to find a supplier I love and that's all I order now. Stick with it and you'll find that one or two that hits the spot.

My problem doesn't seem to be the juice, I've found one I truly love and one I like enough to vape. But the wrong cartomizer or the wrong equipment totally ruin the taste (as do mistakes like burning my carto.)

But I wondered why it is such a big deal to me, when I went out to smoke and it tasted as bad as when I got the wrong equipment.

I guess I'm going to have to find the swap forum on here and get rid of some week-old stuff I got, sigh!

I was in the same boat as you at first barylanna, I always had a pack of smokes around and wasn't sure if I liked vaping. When I finally stopped the analogs I got a ego ce4 and a crapload of favors and some PG, VG and nic. Started making my own flavors as I never stay with the same thing. I never leave home without at least 6 flavors in my pouch cause I never know what I will feel like. Now I am analog free only one week 2 days but it is so much easier now with a lot of variety. Every one at my work (small workplace only 6 of us) is now switching to the pv.

Well I hope this helps and best of luck to you!!

Happy vaping

I started doing the same thing. A friend of mine was an avid smoker of menthol cigs and she complained that the only reason she was unhappy with her vap was because it didn't taste the same. I got her about as close as I could, with a mix of light tobacco and strong menthol flavor. It seems that if you are willing to experiment you can find an excellent flavor, and not spend a lot of cash on juice. Hopefully I'll end with a flavor for all occasions!
