I wanted to just 'jump in' and start vaping. I H.A.T.E. instruction manuals and from reading about other models it seemed like I'd have to put in some study time before I could start & use them properly. Too much work when I'm used to just pulling a ciggie out of a pack and lighting up.

Maybe in the future I'll try to refill & reuse the cartomizers but for now they still cost less than cigs & I'm pleased w/ my decision. Today is my 5th day vaping.

That's the beauty of cartomizers though, it's a simple matter of popping a new cart or refilled cart on and be done with it, no paper clips, juice mess, or stuff, just pop off and pop on the new one. Refilling is easy as dripping in the cart easy enough I bet I can have my 10yr old nephew do it. If you want hassle free vaping then the cartomizers are the way to go, period.

I can't understand the stubborness of the 3pc users, they act like we are trying to sell them the friggin Brooklyn Bridge or something. They cling to those inefficient stone age E-cigarette design that is nothing more than a Molotov Cocktail minus the gasoline, but the design is just about the same, put some liquid in a cup, stuff a rag in it and apply heat obviously for different purposes....

The fact that you have to mod the 510 right from the get go to get any kind of real enjoyment from it is a joke. I always ask them if they would buy a new automobile that you had to mod for it to run properly because it's pretty much the same thing other than price, I would not buy a new HDTV or something that I had to mod to make it work right either.

It really is funny, I suppose some people either are happy tinkering with their toys, and that's cool their are people like that in the world, and if that makes them happy more power to them, but I think some of them just don't want to admit to choosing the wrong model and have not tried the 2pc models. I can get that too but there does come a time where you cut bait and go to another spot and I try to encourage them to give it a go. I have not touched my M401, 510, or mod since I got my GreenCig model which I prefer over the KR808D-1 which is a fine cartomizer but the GC is better, I don't get that cardboard taste from the GC carts and the carts are vastly superior in design engineering and perfomance, in my opinion.

Once they do try these I would imagine many of them would realize the error of their ways and drop those 3pc models like a hot rock. At this point I am happy with my GC and I don't see myself buying another model until someone comes out with a better model than the GC that I use now. I try to recommend to noobs that if they don't get the cartomizer with their first kit purchase then it would be a great idea to get one the next time they are looking since 99% of us have more than one kit.

Greencig = no throat hit and the chocolate tastes like plastic lol.

definately KR808D-1 FTW

I get plenty of throat hit with my GreenCig, I think you will find that if you refill it with your own juice that you will find it much more pleasurable. One thing I have noticed is that the lower nic juices just don't seem to give much throat hit no matter what device I use whether it be 6v mod, m401, 510, KR808D-1, or GreenCig which I prefer over them all. The KR808D-1 scorches way too easy for my taste and it's damn near impossible to scorch or burn the GreenCig carts and they last longer in my experience with them. I don't vape them dry, I am a firm believer in a wet atomizer is a happy atomizer.

I agree though that some of the taste from GreenCig can be funky and I can't wait for Drew to put up the GreenCigs filled with his juices at the factory up on his site. I think you will find the taste of the GreenCig carts much improved, that western tobacco taste like monkey vag.

I started with a 901 model and after 3 weeks I just got fed up with all the filling, dripping, dropping, etc. I was not looking for a 2nd job, LOL!

Then I discovered the 808, and what an improvement. After that I discovered V4L, and I love the products, the awesome flavors, and the great customer service. I am a convert. No more 3-piecers for me -- ever. I just love the convenience and ease of use. I keep my empties in case I ever want to refill or can't get the flavor I want when it's out of stock. Buying cartos is certainly more $ than refilling, but it's still cheaper than the analogs, so I am not complaining.

And I'm a happy vaper.

I started with a 2 piece...the red dragon...but it didn't satisfy me at all...still kept on smoking. :( Then I found this forum and went to a 3 piece and liked it a lot more and it got me off the cigs. After a few month I found the kr808 and got one of those and now I like both the 2 and the 3 piece. I think if I had found the kr808 first, I wouldn't have needed to try the 3 piece cause I really like it. But then, I don't mind fooling around with all the topping off and refilling with the 3 piece, so it just depends on my mood which one I use. :)

My reasons for switching:
Bigger batts --
No more fuss with attys (I´m using 1 atty a month, and I usually keep 3 in rotation)
Longer lasting carts I keep 3 cartos all day long and they last me more than a couple of mouthfulls

Now if I could get a thread to vape cartomizers into a 905 for the boat, I´d be in vaper´s heaven...

I will chime in as a newbie and say that I have definitely decided to stay with this 2-piece model - even after reading a lot for weeks on this forum. As a relief to my wallet, I have found refilling the cartomizers with good e-juice is easy and very effective, even better than the flavors of the original 2-piece carts that came with my starter kit.

i just got my 808d from something cabin, ok taste but which companys are best for true menthol taste, or are they all the same?

They're certainly NOT all the same. Different vendors use different juice suppliers, (not all). For a selection of menthol and mint type flavors along with a choice of PG or VG have you tried Vapor4Life http://store.vapor4life.com
