why was my thread close

I am not sure if this is being posted in the correct section.

[h=1]I started a thread in the "ask the veterins" section and I noticed that the thread was closed. I was wondering why it was closed, did I do something wron?

Here is the answer, straight from the first stickied thread: When you post here, this is what happens:
The post becomes non-visible except to Vets.
It awaits answers from Vets.
When they have answered it, the post is made visible again.
So please don't post twice because you can't see the post - it's supposed to be like that.
Also please note:
There could be a delay of about 2 days, so it is better not to ask questions that need a quick answer.
Most questions can be answered in the New Members forum. Ask The Vets is useful in case you did not get your issue answered fully, or if you cannot post there as you are a Full Member (this cuts in after 70 posts).

When the question is answered in full, thread is closed. Did you notice that ALL of the threads were closed?

Your thread is visible and has been answered. Its closed because all the threads in Ask the Veterans are closed. Only veterans can post in them.

In response to your question I have more questions. Have you only been using ceramic wicks? Have you tried ss mesh at all?

Thanks for the information Now I understand why the thread was closed.
In answerer to your question, no I have not yet tried stainless steel. This is my 1st rebuild-able and I just used the preinstalled wick that it came with.
I did get it work as the middle coil was not as bright as the others. It also took quit a bit of time for the juice to work it's way through the wick. I poked at the coil until it glowed as bright as the others. However it seems at times to need to be re-poked to get it right again. I realize that there is a lot of hands on technique to perfect. I will continue to play with it until I get that to die for vape that seems to be eluding me.

Sometimes the people that are non vets are more knowledgeable than vets.

For example I haven't used a genesis yet.

But there may be a guy whose been here only two months and is an expert.

Honestly, Unclestu I have had mixed results from ceramic wick. Somedays its wonderful somedays well not so much. What I find is it has a hard time wicking fast enough to keep up with the coil. Leading to a very harsh hit.

If the wick hole has an insulator try using premade ss mesh. You might have to work out some hot spots but once it gets running your golden. If it doesn't have an insulator you can get them through Provape or electronicstix.
