Over 3 weeks now and still no dry/burnt hits with the gauze wick on any of the E-2's.:) I lost count of how much juice has gone through them, But i know that at least one of them has seen a 100 mil.

My next step is to see if I can skooch the wick over to get a fresh piece in the coil without taking it apart.;)

You went through 100ml without cleaning?

Is that the proper spelling of "skooch"?...seems like there should be a "t" in there...skootch...na, doesn't look right, skooch it is :D

I do agree on the amazing run time of cotton gauze, I ran 5 full long mode Ody tanks (about 35 ml) of 70/30 PA juicey peach on one wick (it's an almost clear juice) before it started to taste "a little off"...I think it's just because of it's crazy wicking...it's always wet and doesn't lend to occasional burning like silica...it even crushed my best ceramic wicks lifespan.

Ya, it kinda has a burnt toast type flavour as opposed to a lung full of burning industrial solvents we're used to...I halfway don't mind it...maybe TPA should make a flavour "Burning Cotton"... reminiscent of camp fires and ill-conceived smores...a strongish flavour, start at 10% and work your way up...$4.18/4ml

LOL, I'm pretty sure they already make that... See below:

Yes, At 12 to 16 mil a day = around a week. The trick for me is to optimize the attie to battery. I get the best vape I can with the least amount of power. I use 1-18650 2400 mah and 2.2ohm 36 gauge NiCrA. I think if you put the power to it, It'll burn up right away.:)

LOL. Google couldn't help me out so I went with smooch then skooch.:)

have you guys noticed that even when you manage to get a dry burn with cotton, its not as nasty as with silica?

I really dig that

I think evilgrim said when it starts to give up the ghost you know it needs more juice.

Thats a bit low (in power) for me. Currently using 5,2V over 2,9 ohm. Though I started vaping this setup at around 4V, and slowly went up. Area around the coil is pretty black, but not from burned cotton (it has distinctive taste), but from burned liquid.
Next thing I'd like to try out is to spread the coil a bit more, but am too lazy to change the working setup. I *think* it wouldn't burn the juice this much.

There's a fine line with that though...I found (especially on the V3) that if you spread it out too much you don't get enough heat concentration and the wicking overcomes the coil and you get nothing...I found the sweet spot with my Ody...coil wraps about 1mm apart for a 1.8 coil on a 2mm thick wick...but I think the 1mm space may be universal regardless of resistance...

Yeah I know. But I was counting on Provari to somewhat balance all the little "mistakes". Currently, my wraps are seriously tight; less than 1mm apart, so I'm not overly surprised that I'm burning juice.

I found the same...too close and you over cook, to spread and nothing...and if you try to compensate by ramping up the V on a too spread coil, the coil gets too hot and burns...there is just such a fine balancing act with this...but alas, when you nail it and it works, it works awesome...

WOW, lots of great info here. I want to try this in my ODY. anyone have pictures of the right way to get started?

Pictures?, you don't need no stinking pictures! for an Ody setup, grab a sterile cotton ball and pull it apart till it's about 6" in length (try and keep a uniform amount of cotton over the 6" length as possible), roll it between the palms of your hands until it's about the thickness of a pen refill...voila, cotton wick...just treat it like you would silica
