That's odd.. Now I'm beginning to wonder if someone "had their way" with my Auntie?(snicker) I've tried it in the Vision tank, mini,Stardust, and my current favorite the Hyper SRT II, but to no avail.. I've got a mean cold going on, so i'll have to wait before I make anymore attempts with Aunt Lydia.
Thanks for the suggestions and input; greatly appreciated!

How you liking the Hyper SRT compared to the Stardust/Vision?

Terry, when the slow boat from China gets my order here, you'll have some of this 'braided' bamboo coming your way.

At the top of the pic is the bamboo I'm waiting on, the bottom is Aunt Lydia's #10.

Nice - how much did you order? Can I buy some from you when it gets here? I am gonna get some hemp twine from Wallyworld today and gonna try it and see how that works for me...............so far BB is #1

There is no comparison.. (hehe) Seriously, the Stardust has it's uses, but the SRT blows every Vision I own out of the water in terms of flavor. It's easier to draw by a factor of 4, holds 3 times the fluid, not to mention fits my provari much better. The stardust still gets use when I'm on the go, but for around the house, it's been the SRT 24/7. I had to "get aquainted" with the SRT (best coil height, length optimum kanthal length, etc.) but once dialed in my first remark was: "Wow! So this is what VG sweet is!" hehe. Overall, a good RBA as far as a sub 30 USD goes. It's holding up well after at least 30 coil/wick switches, in spite of me enlarging the wick holes for my #1/0 cotton wicking. Only a few things that I noticed: the draw is louder than any vivi, there a bit of condensation overrun when replacing the cap (couldn't imagine any RBA not doing this), and I have to be careful when loosening the tank for cleaning. It's very tempting to use the extruding posts for leverage which could potentially break them. They haven't bent or warped, but why tempt fate? :) So far, I'm loving it! I started a review thread if anyone's interested: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...3342-smoktek-hyper-srt-ii-nov-24-2012-a.html?

Yeah I too have noticed Bamboo makes a strange pair with peppermint. Unflavored + menthol is perfect by me, but I've added a touch of peppermint here and there and it got real weird, I felt like I was watching Eyes Wide Shut with my mouth...

Oh man! Peppermint is my "goto" diy... I'll give it another try with another flavor.. heh.. I'm not giving up on ya Lydia (heh)
Still gotta kick this cold tho...

Actually hows it working with the bamboo compared to?
Lol here first burn at 3.7v, after letting the bamboo soak a while and expand it is doing great ay 4.2v. Not as hot as SS.Clic on pic.

Looks promising - doesn't show the volcano / spurting out they top like SS wicks inside the tube. Will you be showing this off in the Pyrex thread?

Right on Nashville!...good to know someone is keeping poor big tobacco in the black, lol...

I just heard something on the weekend that maybe my US brothers can substantiate..., kinda off topic but what the hell, it's a slow day...

Americans hate Canadian cigarettes, say they taste like crap (we're not big fans of yours either, but as a polite Canadian I won't say that, oops)...the tobacco in cigs is almost always a blend (like cheap scotch)...American cigs are comprised of mostly Turkish tobaccos, it's why they taste like they do...Canadian cigs are mostly comprised of Virginian tobaccos...seems pretty odd to me that this would be the case, maybe it's a product of some weird trade schema cooked up a long time ago and it just stuck?...but is this the case?, this was told to me by a tobacconist in some shop in Wa.

Ya, ya, off topic but I'm curious...

Like I said, not sure if it's fact/fiction...was gonna be tonight's Google theme...but, I lived in Switzerland for a couple years and had a tough time finding a smoke to my liking...then I tried this "Select" brand...mostly Virginian tobacco, they tasted great (at least to a Canadian)...I had the distinct pleasure (not) of smoking a Russian cig handed out to miners, thick as a ciggerillo, it was 3/4 cardboard tube with about an inch of tobacco at the lit end (so they can continue to work without smoke getting in their eyes, thoughtful of them), OMG!...Russian miners, dead men walking...

........ Now I want a Camel. Even though I know it will taste like crap for the first couple of puffs. Today has been the really odd "I want a real smoke" day. Haven't had one in months, but I damn near bought a pack when I was at the store. It'll pass. I will not break down.
My buddy lived in Toronto for 10 years or so and never could develop a taste for Canuckistinian (lol) tobacco. He claimed that it was because Canadian import laws mandated they had to use Canadian grown tobacco. All I know for certain is I brought him cigs every time I visited, and he would make a run into the US for cigs and pizza every so often. And soda.
