Hi guys,

I was wondering if anybody had a clue as to why the following phenomenon occurs,

I have two sub tank minis, both with 6wraps of NI200 30g coming out to .15ohms, both running on the same evic vtc mini at the same temp at the same wattage. The difference between them is 1 is running a 50/50 juice with a longer (not thicker) wick and the other one is running with a 30pg/70vg blend with a shorter wick.
The 50/50 gives me a thicker and bigger cloud. WHY? is it the longer wick?

Thanks for any input.

The more vg in your juice , causes the "extra cloudage".
OP said the 50/50 clouded more.

My guess would be that the 70/30 is not wicking as quickly since it's thicker and not saturating the coils and keeping them cool, therefore you are hitting the temp limit and bouncing off that resulting in less Vapor. When you use both builds/ juices, are they reacting the same? As in, do the pulls feel like the same temperature throughout or is one ramping g up and down?

Disregard. I read the information wrong.

I feel the 50/50 with a longer wick doing a smoother ramp up and the 30/70 goes up and down unevenly. I thought I had to do a shorter wick for thicker liquids. Maybe with TC this is not as important

Ah, the mysteries of cutting edge technology!

TC is still a grey area in my Kanthal focused mind. My Smok Koopor Plus has settings for several different wires to use with TC. I need to play and experiment and see if TC will be useful for my tootle puffing habit.

I'm thinking that I may never become a cloud blower. I do think that temperature controlled vaping is probably the wave of the future. It's more a guarantee that we won't inhale products of combustion if it works as advertised and that's a good thing.

I vote for wick thickness in the question posed by the OP. If it isn't touching the coil all the way across it won't create much vapor. Experiment with wick size and go with what works. Roll it lightly to shape it and create a thickness that exhibits light drag as you pull it through. Refine from that point.

My LEMO 2 came in with a huge wad of mystery wick with tails that stuffed the deck surface from side to side and billowed upward. I yanked it and wound a Kanthal coil with a cotton wick. It liked that just fine. I can white out my face in a mirror at 10 watts. ;)
