Yes, I have one and it like falls right out of the adapter thing by just a light push and it jiggles. Also didn't work with all my 510 attys, but they said the pin needed to adjusted, but we got that all screwed up too, so hopefully, I have a ticket in, they will send me a new one with the atty order I have placed with them that hasn't shipped yet and I'll send them this one back.

I still can't get this straight. Does the adapter wiggle on the unit or does the atty wiggle on the adapter?

If the attys are wigglin', mind if I ask where you got them?

I have that problem with my 901 Prodigy adapter, dropped it atomizer first. Ouch!!!

it shouldnt break this easily...does anyone know puresmokers Return Policy?
I mean for a refund...not replacement. Im looking for something thats going to last, and live through dropping it on the carpet atty first.

No when we first got it, it just popped right out. It has nothing to do with the atty. It still WORKS, but it jiggles around and doesn't work with just 2 attys that I have.

As for the person asking to return or not order your Protege, you gotta be kidding!?????? This thing is STUNNING and an incredible device. I don't think anyone is going to be able to pry this sucker out of my hands. It's VERY well built, the device itself, and so what if I have a silly adapter, they'll warranty it. It's not THAT common and it's not like it doesn't work still.

The Protege is AMAZING, trust me!

I don't know of any PVs that would be sturdier than the Prodigy/Protege's. I've known some people who could break an anvil.

They don't break easily. I'm 6' 3" tall, I dropped my Prodigy when I was standing taking a hit. So, it took a nearly 6' fall and landed atomizer first. The brass press fitting is now not tight like it used to be, my prodigy still works just fine. If anything that just shows you how well these things are built, mine has some cosmetic damage from the fall but its still ticking.

I think I'm suffering from the wiggly 510 adapter as well. It was perfect for a week. Then, last night, I was about to unscrew my atty for the night (as I always do), and the brass fitting was turning with the atty. Having never taken it (nor my Prodigy) apart, I just grabbed some needle-nosed pliers to hold the fitting still while I unscrewed the atty.

This morning, I took the adapter off, and the fitting just fell right out. I can put it together and get an atty on. It's still as usuable as ever. The only real difference is that I notice I can now press down on the cart/atty and it has a little bit of give to it. I swear that wasn't there before.

I put in a ticket today. I was just curious if I had done something wrong -- such as overtightening, which I try to not do. Or I'm wondering if there are any other issues, such as increased leakage from the not-as-snug fit.

Could have something to do with this.

Kevin

I pushed the center post down inside the adaptor to get rid of the gap..I have had no issues w/ my protege at all. Im not sure why you quoted that.
The 510 adaptor was also crooked prior to me moving the center post.
There is nothing to be done about the few degrees of crookedness, its due to the threads in the adaptor.

I'm one of the lucky ones who got a perfect Protege.

And i literally took a small pipe wrench to an atty attached to the adaptor trying to straighten the threads, and the brass did not move at all, but my atty its self twisted. The adaptor is very stong, and the force needed to push the center post down is nothing; I did with my bare hands.

The wiggly adaptors were doomed as soon as they were sent.
