Been thinking about a beautiful woodie for Xmas.

Spent several hours combing WILDMAN's thread this wknd drooling.

Am alarmed that Alek might be quitting, tho I think he just needs some time to deal with other things and will continue. Keeping that OPTIMISTIC thought, I have 2 questions that can probably be answered by an WILDER, and one request.

1) Did Alek ever figure out how to do VV? In a way, yes. Rather than fill the mod with regulator and wiring, you use a Kick. This provides VW, which IMO is more useful than VV and you can run it as a regular device if something should go wrong with the Kick.
2) If you get a WILDMAN that is KICK ready, can you use it before you finally manage to get a KICK? Yes. If it's a model that uses an 18490 + Kick you can use an 18650 minus Kick in it's place. If it uses an 18650 + Kick you could use it without the Kick if you use a spacer.

REQUEST

When you WILD showoffs post pics of your beautiful PV's, could you PLEASE mentiom the wood it is made of? Am thinking about making this a seperate request post of all woodie show offs! I know nothing about wood and have seen some really gorgeous mods and get frustrated when the type of wood is not mentioned in the posts!!!!

It would be nice to see your collections just to see them, but it would also be nice to see descriptions so ppl can know what all Alek can do.

Did I see that u were going to stop making mods?? As in stop forever? Or just maybe a lil vacation to recharge and re energize? I really hope u are not going to stop forever, that would be a sad day for this community

Thank you Pete. I now know where my next mod will be coming from. Question is, what will take longer....Alek's break or my ability to get a Kick? Good to know can get a kick enabled mod before I actually have a kick.

You're going to have to use a potentiometer for adjusting but you pretty much have a choice of using any switch. There's a pdf with some pertinent info, I'll email it to you.

My newest wood received her new kick yesterday afternoon and I thought I wood share.

This second pic is closer to the actual color of the claro wood

Fresh wax never hurts either. (Like it needed it)
Be Lovin on some 18650/Kicked wood 2.5 atty probly 7 watts or so.
