Make sure they are 18650 high drains

Funny. Have just spent a couple hours reading about batteries and have a couple questions. From what I've read, will the Panasonic IMR CGR18650CH 2250mAh fit? They are 65.2mm. The AW 1600 is 65.31 and the 2000 is 65.97. How much wiggle room have I got? AND when my Kick dies, will I be able to shim the battery to make up for it's loss? Does button top vs flat top on battery matter? Thx in advance, as I would like to place battery/charger order tomorrow (well, after I've slept today)

If you're going to kick the mod, because of the higher discharge rate that can result with using the kick, evolv only recommends using IMR batteries with the module. If you're just running at 3.7V, and you wanted to use a protected 18650, there's no real reason not to, although I would personally use a 2 cent fuse to be that much safer.

I know you were asking about sizing but pretty much any 18650 should fit into your mod, the springs are pretty heavy duty.

Yeah, it was getting late and I was crosseyed after going thru an 18 page thread about the panasonic imr 18650 2250 mah and wasn't really clear. I was talking about the aw imr 18650 1600 mah length vs the 2000 mah aw imr 18650. These size issues seemed important to tube mod owners. I think the panny battery sounded like the best of the 3 and just wanted to make sure it was long enough. Not sure why the larger mah panasonic is shorter than the aw's. The larger mah aw was too large for one of the tubes. Don't want to buy 3 batteries and find they don't fit! ALso am sure the Kick will die on me at an inoportune moment! Thx for everyone's input.
