I killed it trying to remove it and replace the pot. That plastic weld is STRONG stuff, stronger than aluminum by far.
I have a replacement on hand that puts out some real power with a functioning pot. Apparently I was just running 8watts all the time. I will try to get it installed thursday.
I will get a couple more chips ordered this week.

I have the new chip wired up with longer wires so I can play with it on the bench.

It's all very simple, wire the Unobtainium to the discomboobulator and run it all thru the flux capacitor.
