Will a Vamo type Mod produce better vapor/flavor than a spinner type Mod?
I ask because I have read and viewed reviews where it has been stated "this mod produces great vapor and flavor..." but my way of thinking is this: its the design of the tank/cartomizer that produces the vapor and flavor.
The mod just supplies the power to the method of vaping. I mean, 5 volts is 5 volts, right? Doesnt matter if your using an evic or a vision spinner.
Seems like the discussion on mods should be how long the charge lasts, is it variable, what mAh, ect...
Vapor production and flavor potency should all depend on the style of atomizers and the design of vaporizing and flow of said vapor.
So why then do most reviewers state that a particular mod "produces" good/bad amounts of vapor/flavor?
Thoughts and ideas?

all the different mods produce power. 5v is in fact 5v but the way they produce that power can vary widely. and is dependent mainly on what kind of chip is inside, some do a sloppy job of they way they regulate power and this will in fact change the perception of the vapor.
while you are correct the device ultimately decides how well something vapes, the way they decide to send power to that device can vary widely.

for some it makes no difference and they dont seem to notice, for others there is a perceived difference such as this mod makes the vapor smoother this one is harsher and hotter.

it all comes down to how the mod is regulating the power output, with the general belief that the more accurate to the setting and the closer to a pure DC output the better the overall experience will be.

the cheaper chips pulse the electricity creating very deep waves where the coil is actually running hotter and cooler then the setting, then averaging out those peaks to get the number you set for the voltage, many other mods choose to use this method but have better systems so even though it is pulsing what comes out of the tip seems closer to a smooth output - the smoother the overall signal the smoother the vapor.

here is one (of the many) threads talking about this in detail

There is a distinct change in flavor/vape with a "cheap" 33.3hz chipset PWM vs a higher end model, I have a Vamo V3 and a MVP2, you CAN tell the difference but it's not so bad that it makes the Vamo's vape any less enjoyable than the MPV2.

The beauty of a full bore APV is the fact you CAN change bad/dead/defective batteries, if the battery goes bad in a spinner, you are pretty much chunking it unless you know how to solder and can pop it open and replace the battery (it's very doable, but it DEFINITELY takes a bit of tech savy to do it)

I agree with that, too much emphasis is being placed on people saying one is better then the other. and people who dont agree see this the wrong way. one mod can vape better then another but it gets lost somewhere that that doesnt mean the other one is now a bad vape.

I always relate this argument to video cards in computers, you can buy the very best card they make right now, and in 6 months they will release one that's better, it really is better, but in no way does it mean the 6 month old card is no longer any good.

in many cases people say this mod is better then that one and it gets read as this mod good that mod bad when that's not what was said..

Ok, well glad I asked... I have been convinced there is some merit to the argument. At least give me a valid reason to spend some money on my new addiction. I'm starting small and bought an itaste V3 from one of the sponsors here
Joye eGo Rechargeable Batteries (Dont worry about the link title, its wierd =/)

Thanks for all the input and hope this helps some newb.
