I have two bottles of a Lime/Strawberry juice from a vendor that is way to tart for me. This vendor threw in these bottles as a freebie with two separate orders and now I have a lot of it. I've got 60 ml's of it and would like to try taming the tartness down a notch and adding a touch more sweetness to it. Through my reading here in the DIY section it sounds like I need to try adding some EM but I'm not sure. I read that EM can blunt the flavor of a juice and at the same time add sweetness but will it work on something very tart? I'd like to try and turn this juice into something enjoyable instead of throwing it out.

Hoosier, will liquid Stevia work as sweetner? I couldn't find any liquid sucralose in my local stores. I found some liquid sweet and low but the ingredient list made me a bit nervous, lots of stuff listed that I'm not familiar with.

I'll give this EM thing a go, I do have some of that. I'm still waiting for my flavorings to arrive and I'm itching to make something.

Well this is interesting. I opted to finish off a Sour Apple juice that I had, about 3 ml's worth, and added two drops of EM. Shook it up good then put it in one of my tanks. I didn't notice anything at first but after about 10 minutes I noticed the flavor was definitely blunted. Which is good, this juice was tart too. Another 10 minutes later and there is no apple taste left lol! It must taste like what EM tastes like. Powerful stuff! What's it gonna taste like in an hour!

I didn't see your suggestion for just one drop for 5 ml's until now Hoosier. I'm glad I did this though, now I know what I'm dealing with as far as EM and it's strength goes.
