As long as any vaper is aware of the value and ease of DIY, you cant go wrong.

For me, my in-house is far better quality than anything Ive ever tried, and Im 100% sure of the ingredients, and the cleanliness of it's mixing area.
;)
The massive financial savings for me is just a huge happy bonus.

Sure the savings you get from DIY allows you to enjoy other things like the Glas e-liquids and that bottle of Pinot Noir in a restaurant. Sure I could get it cheaper at the liquor store but life is short and enjoy it while you can.

Off-topic, but...

*(You can't exceed 20A input [battery drain] on a mod that tops out at 30W, barring malfunction [and even then, it would likely just not work at all]. It's not about the coil resistance, on a regulated mod, but rather the wattage setting. Amp drain = Watts setting / Battery voltage. So even on a nearly dead battery -- call it 3.0v under load -- at max 30 watts you're still pulling no more than 10A from the battery. Coil resistance only matters on a mechanical or unregulated mod where you don't get to pick the wattage and it is simply determined by the coil resistance and battery voltage. In that case, Amps = Volts / Ohms [and it's still equal to watts/voltage, too, it's just that the "watts" is derived from the other values, here, instead of set by the user. "Watts" is "volts * volts/ohms" already, so figuring that and then dividing out volts is the same as just doing volts/ohms in the first place.])
Coil resistance ALWAYS matters. Even on a regulated mod. Stay within the resistance limits published in the manual for your mod. And if you're really smart you won't trust in Chinese, US, or any other manufacturer for their design and quality and only use a coil resistance high enough to keep you within your batteries continuous rating should a mosfet short or other malfunction occur.

I was at Walmart the other night and see they are in the vape bidness now. Pretty basic stuff, sold under a brand that didn't ring any bells. The bod mod looked sorta like a iStick 30 and the tube mod like that AIO I seen a year ago. Ya know they had 30ml bottles of juice and for the life I don't recall the price.

Maybe online.............................
Sounds like Mystic :D

Lol.
Turtle fluffing gear has by far the highest profit margin of any gear.
Tiny tanks, crappy disposable coil heads to keep you tethered, 99% of the customer base naive smokers still addicted to cigs..
Its not going anywhere
Turtle fluffing? Haha now that's funny :D I'm tooting on a Myjet pod right now with 36 mg nic salts juice and I bet for flavor and instant satisfaction it beats any cloud chucking bubble toy 100W mod with quad coils with that wimpy 3 mg juice :rolleyes:Look..... clouds... preeetyyy... lol
The vaping world is about to change for new vapers looking to get off cigarettes, small devices like pod mods, nic salts juices that provide nicotine faster like a cigarette, that is the way of the future and big mods and big coil cloud chucking tanks will be relics in a dinosaur museum and Neanderthal basements

Same here... since I DIY the store stuff is pale in comparison.

Before I did, I was having more and more trouble with the store stuff as it all tasted like chemicals to me, I'm guessing that I was getting sensitive to the sweetener overload. Between that and that we'd be spending close to a good 200$ on store stuff a month, I decided to give it a try. My first few purchases were fairly high and I was a bit worried that I wouldn't save that much, but once I had my "kit" started and had a decent stock, the spending dropped a lot.

Once I started, the old store stuff started to be left in the box more and more (I still have stuff from that time) as the difference is that huge...

We did spend a bit at the vape expo that was in town last summer, just to have fun with it, tried and got new stuff to give me ideas as they were flavour schemes that I hadn't tried yet, but it didn't take long that even that stuff ended up in the box and being barely used.

But overall, there's no question about it, the recipes I've come up with are very good and at this point, the store stuff is more about curiosity, but for most, we end up regretting the expense as it ends up sitting there.

I have been making my own for some time. I find store flavors to be overwhelming. I use a REO and on occasion I put just three drops of BWB Malty Toffee (I've never come close to a match) in the bottle with my unflavored, it is just enough when diluted.
Making my coils and DIY - I am seeing those savings I had hoped for when I started to vape.

Yeah I used to be one of the Purists when CD's first came out but now with MP3 Players and iPods or being able to stick a jump stick in a stereo things do get antiquated. Always have fun talking about Vinyl and the young ones have no idea and they do not even teach history in schools anymore.

Yeah.. nostalgia... Took my turntable out a few years ago so to digitize some 45s and albums.

I ended up seeing how the medium just didn't age well.. the hissing, the popping, the scratching, the skipping, the muffled sound that many call "warm"... it was still fun...

I think it's funny when I hear someone rant about how great vinyl sounds and that it's so superior to digital, when you know that the odds are, that their "new" vinyl was done from a digital source transfer.

To really appreciate that vinyl, you need to pair it with a tube amp as well.:D

Yup, even many in their 20s are clueless about so much. There a LOT of them that "if it's not absolutely brand new" it's garbage.. they won't even watch a 1 year old movie/TV show because it's "old" (and crap and boring). EVERYTHING needs to be "EDGY"...

Their attitude just blows my mind.

I raised my kids to be exposed to just about everything, and 99% of the time, they know what's what while everyone around them are derping.

Heck, my youngest (that's in her twenties now) has been watching the old shows like the Brady Bunch and the other classics from the 60s-70s and loves it.

What's funny is that she gets all the inside jokes from a lot of movies and TV shows... and it makes her so much funnier for her. At the cinema she was having a blast watching something (can't remember the movie) and she was rolling, while not a single other person in the room were getting any of the inside jokes.

Don't forget:

Wooden knobs
Wire hanger on the cables

If I had a huge house, I'd probably do a old school setup, I'd love to get an old stereo cabinet like I had in my younger days, from my grandfather.

There's a relaxing feeling to having a few record on the automated holder drop them and the movement of the arm as it drops the needle back.

For a while I'd just get a song here and there (digital) but I've been going back to say screw it and getting the full albums, finding that the "hits" aren't always the best songs on albums.
