So I recently purchased a ProSmoke, been about 2 weeks and still don't have it, while waiting i've discovered my own little setup that I think I would like to try.

Genuine Joyetech eGo-C Twist Battery - 650mah // $21
eGo Usb rapid charger // $4.59

Boge cartomizer 5pk // $4.95
OR
Vapeonly 3.5ml bottom changeable, 3 coils // $11.95

Now, if I have a tank, i probably only have to fill it once a day right? Whereas the cartomizers, i'd probably go through a couple a day? What's appealing to me is the look of cartomizers because there..i guess proper looking? idk
is there like a slim tank? slighty bigger than a cartridge i guess?

But, that is all I would need right? Besides juice

Steve,

From what I have read, most of us are vaping somewhere around 3-5ml a day. So a 3.5ml clearomizer (or tank) should be fine for you. I am a BIG fan of the simplicity of clearomizers. You are going to get more than a few opinions about them, some like em, some think they come from the leakiest, tightest, most flavorless corner of Hell.

Check out the Vision line, they have a few sizes and styles that should work for what you have in mind, and look good doing it. Besides the Visions, I have tried the Kanger MT3 and it has been working for me as well. Really liking the metal tube, cos I have dropped my kgo more times than I can count, and the MT3 is still in great shape. The Visions I bought, however, have plastic "tanks" and can sometimes separate from their metal bases and/or caps and leak after they are dropped.

When I first started out, instead of just buying multiples of each part, I bought a few different items at a time so I could try out more stuff and have a backup or replacement if something fails.

Good luck with your search.

I started vaping in November (havent had an analog since)......i really wanted a cig look a like....i first got the Prosmoke, and a fair selection of their pre-filled carts/atomizers. My experience was the flavour was very good, the vapor died after maybe 30-40 puffs on ea cart. the batteries needed charging a lot. (and the Prosmoke isnt cheap). Ive since gone to a larger looking unit, Ego-T, tank system, yes you fill the tank with maybe 15 drops of liquid. The vapor is always there, and the regular batteries last all day. I did get the larger Ego twist battery (variable voltage), Wow what a diff in vapor and flavour....and the battery last longer....i thought i wanted a proper looking e cig, but truth is they dont perform the same, and I really dont vape in public...and you cant vape in most clubs or restarants anyway, so you need to look further than just the looks of the device, or you will be tempted to go back to regular smokes....take care.

Thanks Dave, very informative, and that is mainly why I'd like to try out a tank setup, as there's no way im shipping in cartridges for $10 + $12 shipping from ProSmoke. I haven't even tried the thing yet and I am already looking to bigger and better systems.

From what I see, i'd like to think the ego twist lasts longer per charge than the prosmokes right?

Steve,

They both have wicks and coils.

The Vivi Nova is a top coil, with long wicks. The advantage with this one is the warmth of the vapor.

The MT3 is a bottom coil, with tiny wicks. The advantage with this setup is it uses most/all of the juice in the tank without having to swish and swirl the device as the juice levels get low.

Some people really like the hotter vapor and turning your volts up on your device (check out variable voltage devices, when you can) to get that heat with a bottom coil would burn your juice.

Forgot to answer your other questions.

They are pretty easy to maintain. Check youtube, or the tips n tricks forum here and you should get an idea of how easy. Buy 2 heads for each so you can get an idea of how to clean them before you need to order more.

They are sized for bigger batteries than the cig-alikes. Take a look at the kgo variable voltage battery, they look and work great with that.

Ok so I have done some research that you had mentioned, and I came across two that I liked, that I think are slim or i guess cig sized/match-up with an ego twist.

Now, one is wicked, and one is coiled? Could you help me with the major differences in the two? Is one of them higher maintenance or?

Personally even when I started out a single 650mah batt didn't go all day for me which opened a window for me to need to go buy a pack of cigarettes. I'd get two or if you sit at a desk a lot get a pass-through that will allow you to vape while charging ti via USB on your PC. I personally like CE2 or CE4 clearomizes and if you like them trim to fit the over all style of the eGo then you can get the 1.6ml and just carry a bottle with you, I do. these are of course all preferences. I like the 3.5ml Vivi nova but I think it would look odd on an eGo and make it a tad unstable when sitting up.

I think I'd like to go with the MT3, with the ego twist that I mentioned above. Great feedback thanks.

Is the ego twist vv about the same size as the kgo?

Will definitely be purchasing 2 batteries, if it is two ego twists, that means I can use any 510 accessories as well as any ego accessories correct? Also, could you clarify what CE 2/3/4 mean?
I've been looking at pass-throughs, definitely a future purchase.

Steve......i dont want to poo poo the Prosmoke, hey it was the tool i used to get me off ciggarettes....but they just dont have the staying power, i did love their flavors (they dont sell their juice).....and as their little carts go dry, i ended up buying juice, and dropping 5-6 drops into them, then the Prosmoke was good for another hour. My research showed that the Ego-T was a good upgrade...for me anyway. Once your off reg cigs, then you will be excited about all the alternatives and upgrades available, , and you can find all kinds of youtube videos on how to use the Ego tank, how to clean etc......the system is cheap to operate and if you want Juices, look no further than Mount Baker Vapors........they have tons of flavors, and you will not find them less expensive anywhere.......so vape on...as much as you can, so you dont ever want a real cig.....(thats my 2 cents)

Sorry didn't realize you had another thread. Re: thread http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo.../388185-hey-everyone-wonderful-community.html

Twist is manufactured by JoyTech and the Spinner is by Vision( Vision makes the very popular Vvi Nova Tank). Both very large and reputable companies. Twist was the first Mini VV PV out and the Spinner came later. Both good PVs but like I said in the other thread re: Twist the dial is smooth/ hard to turn and the voltage markings are invisible. Go back to my post in the other thread, save the Twist image zoom and try and see the voltage markings. Spinner has clearly marked voltage markings and a wider knurled dial.

Here's a text review on the Spinner. I LOVED my Twist until the Spinner was released addressing the issues of the Twist. Those of us that own both can appreciate the improved dial and markings.

Excellent read, think it changed my mind!

I'd suggest a Kanger T3 clearomizer......I get great vapor and taste out of mine with an ego twist running at 4 volts...has a 3ml tank that lasts me about all day.

Thanks for the input, I'd think a 3ml would last me all day as well.

I would also add a 510 atomizer to test new juices- very easy to clean if juice is horrible". There's the Mini Vivi Nova 2.0 ml. Realize "some" acidic juices will damage the plastic tank. You can also buy a metal tube for the Vivi Tank. For acidic juices I use cartomizers.
Vivi Nova- a plastic or metal tank with a wick and element. Contains NO stuffing. The rebuildable clearos come with heads (coil+ wick) that can be cheaply ($1.50) and easily (10 secs) replaced. When the head burns out simply unscrew the old head out and screw in new head- takes 10 secs. My Vivi Nova heads are lasting about 8 weeks BUT I wash the heads every few days. I've found the Vivi Nova to give the best draw. The only reason I change my heads is because the wick becomes shredded- it still fires great. The Mini Vivi Nova is slim and fits perfectly on the Twist or Spinner BUT you may want to buy a sleeve to cover the threads between the battery and the tank.

I seen your pictures, there is a noticeable difference. Are they about the same price?
realize 100 mah= 1 hr normal vaping before recharge
Spinner- 1300 mah
https://www.canvape.com/product-p/1300revolver.htm
Twist- depending on the size may be slightly cheaper or more expensive.
https://www.canvape.com/Genuine-Joyetech-eGo-C-Twist-p/twist.htm
Considering these batteries are good for 250- 300 recharges it really only works out to pennies per day. Also if using the Mini Vivi Nova operating costs in regards to a delivery device are going to be quite low. Canvape selling the Mini Vivi Nova for $6.00- most places in the U.S. are selling for about $10. Realize also you get 3 heads with that Vivi. For the Spinner/ Twist 2.4 ohms offers the widest options cuz you can dial the voltage up and down- 1,8 ohms good for lower voltage/ warmer vape.
