That was with the V2, on the healthcabin page they said the new batch fixes it. But there don't seem to be any major problems with it.

Mine should be arriving in a day or two and when the new LT comes out I'll be getting that too.

Thanks again. Yeah, I ordered one as well from Health Cabin. It will be the new batch :) so should be ok. That's what I read too, that there weren't any real problems with the previous batch, people were using it fine. But I think its good they changed it.
Looking forward to trying one out. I want to use in in 18350 - stealthier.

Be interested to hear how you find both of those pvs.

Lavatube 2.0 looks like a pretty nice APV. Decided to go with the VAMO though as it's current sale price is hard to beat.

And yes, all these tube mods are coming from the same 3-4 factories in China, regardless which vendor (who puts their own name on it) you buy them from. The only true difference is the warranty a certain vendor decides to give. Which is why you find them at different price points ... you're basically paying for the warranty.

I saw stuff originally in other forums, I'm not going to go find now.
Why is it important anyway? Just more cheap junk that you get no warranty with
That's here today gone tomorrow. Hardly worth all this discussion
If I owned something called a Vamo I'd feel like I'd have to carry a purse!

Then call it a Whamo or Bamo. Who cares? Are you planning on stenciling the name in neon colors? Hardly worth discussing? Dude, the whole point of forums (fora?) is discussion. If you want super high quality buy a Provari, shell out $200+, and give up the VW function. Or go back to analogs. They never fail unless you drop 'em in a puddle. The idea here is to disseminate information and opinions, not just "get off my lawn, punk" attitude. You've never even seen one, yet you're convinced they're junk. Wow. You still driving a Model T and crankin' the phone?

A lavatube "purist" calling another Chinese mod cheap junk:laugh:
I love your reasoning behind not buying this mod - a safety issue that "never was" and the name.
It's also known as the Ego APV 2, the Thunderbolt, the Bulldog and the Etna.

Volcano may have come up with the name of the Lavatube but everything else is pure Chinese, it's also pretty silly calling a particular mod junk when you've never actually used one.

Incidentally, pretty much everyone that owns the Vamo thinks it's a brilliant mod...

Nice aesthetics and clever ad, but I doubt it - didn't see any variable watts there.

I didn't buy the Vamo because of the VW, I bought it because it was VV, ohm tester, battery tester and cheap.

Every juice doesn't vape the same at the same wattage, so it becomes another exercise in number up/number down.

Oh for sure - I just like the VW number up/number down more myself. I think a lot of people have bought it for the VW as well - to try it out or because they like that.

Which I've yet to feel the need to do! I set it here "Hmm, a bit cool." Crank it up a bit "Hmm, a bit muted." Drop it a hair, "Yup, just right!" Even with the same carto, same juice, I set it to meet my needs, mood, flavor or TH I want at that time. I'm not a "set it and forget it" type for some reason.

I know, I was just stating my use of it. Honestly, after seeing the pic comparison I like the size of the v or zmax better. Again, personal preference.

I want to use the Vamo as smaller stealth mod actually. I really like the Zmax, but having a Vamo 18350 option with the features I want adds another use for me. In 18650 mode the Vamo does appear longer - I don't have mine yet to check against the Zmax. The Vamo looked taller in pics I saw.

kiwivap,
I'll be waiting to hear your review of the Vamo. I like the idea of a shorty but from my views of the pictures the short setup on the Vamo isn't a heck of a lot smaller than the Zmax. Still might have to get one especially at the going prices.

2-15 watts
3-5 volts
Builtin USB battery charger
Able to sync with a PC for settings, statistical data, and firmware upgrades
Incredible screen

If it's accurate and built to last ... The Joye eVic is going to change the way people think of pvs.
