Having your on-line program "remember" where someone has been. So if they sign in or have to do something else the program will take them back to the item or show it in a recently viewed section. This will save the buyer the time of searching for the product they were about to purchase through a long list of items.

Online, a wish list, a nice place you can put all the stuff you want at some point but maybe not today. Add to that auto notification if something on your wishlist goes on sale and I'm hooked. This is something newegg.com does and it's not only been helpful but I know that at least half the items they've emailed me about being on sale I bought and likely wouldn't have otherwise.

And don't seem hurried when talking to a customer. Treat them the way you want to be treated. Give them time when you teach them something. We don't know everything.

One thing web sites should do is recommend things that work together. If I select a tank/mod, suggest the parts that go with it. Such as 'this battery will fit your item' or 'this replacement head is for this item'. For new people it's hit or miss on whether they know what they need and what "fits". I would have purchased many more items online from vendors if I'd known what parts matched up.

Yeah, recommended items are useful. Also, if I'm buying something with replaceable parts, put a link or list of the replaceable parts with it so I don't have to search for them.
