I haven't really dry burned it because the coil seems clean. How often should I dry burn? I can tilt the juice away from the wick and let it get dry and burn it or will I need to take it apart to clean it and put a new mesh wrap on it? Is there a easy cleaning method anyone has?

For me, any wick gets dirty after a day or two, (mesh, XC-116 ceramic, wire rope w/mesh). I vape darker juices, and there's just nothing like having a nice fresh atty.
With my rope wick gennies, every night or two I use a syringe to suck the juice out, (or vape it down to near nothing), rinse the top deck and exposed wick/coil with hot water, squirt a few plungerfulls of hot water into the tank, and suck the water back out. A few shakes to fling off drops, and then press the button until the coil glows red. as the burnt juice burns off entirely, it can sometimes make hotspots/shorts...pulse through those, it's not tough. When it is burnt clean, I typically give it a quick brush with a brush to knock off the ash. Sometimes, I give it another quick water rinse and burn, just to rinse off the ash and then to dry out the wick.
<4 minutes, I've timed it. I typically do it at the end of the day and fill the tank with whatever juice I feel like tomorrow.
If I don't do this, the flavor becomes muted, vapor decreases, you get burnt overtones, and juice darkens quickly in the tank. I do it pretty much every night, (I vape 4-5 mLs daily in my gennies), and after around 6 weeks I typically have to rewrap a coil. I've yet to have to use a new piece of wire rope, although the mesh "diaper" can get dodgy after a few months.
