Do you know the size of the wick holes on these atomizers? Make sure it is slightly smaller than that and you should be fine.

EDIT: After some research it looks like 3/32 is a popular size

Hope this helps

Hi, I believe the kraken wick hole is 2.9 mm, not sure about the I atty but it looks around 2.4 or 2.5 mm. So assuming these are the sizes of the wick holes, would you suggest getting 2.5 mm rope ??

I've built a couple krakens and found the smaller size works better. You only need a small amount of mesh to stop it from shorting, so I'm a firm believer that less is more. Don't waste your time with eko wool (IMHO). Mesh is amazing if you get it built right.

so would the 2.5 mm rope be ok ? or would you go for 2 mm.

I got my 2 mm rope, fitted a 3mm ekowool sleeve over with 5 wraps of .27 kanthal @1.4 ohms and it installed it into my I atty. I primed with a bit of juice and did a test fire, Hmm i got a tiny bit of vapour (must be the coil me thinks).

So after doing a bit of tweaking i got the spitting and vapour i was looking for, filled her up and gave it a try. I have to say it was wonderful for a short while, then the vapour fell off again. Okay time to wrap a new coil, but this time i wrapped it before i installed it; so i wasn`t fiddling around the positive post.

I did 4 wraps this time and got 1.2 ohms, a better wrapped coil made one hell of a difference wow this has got to be one of the cleanest and purest vape i have ever had, Tons and Tons of flavour and vapour and i can honestly say, for any vertical coil set up; this is the way to go.

Well done guys on finding this, i really appreciate all your efforts in finding this way of wicking. Speaking of which, i have never had a dry hit, Totally consistant draws every time.

Lately, I've been re wicking some of my tired genny mesh wicks with 3/32 ss cable from Ace Hardware. I'm using a small piece of mesh under the coil area only. Just enough mesh to go around the cable wick about 2 times. I don't torch either the cable or the mesh. I just wrap, and then pulse, until everything glows evenly. I do boil my piece of cable first, to get rid of whatever manufacturing residue might be on the cable.
