wires?

I see that there are wires used on the G-pen, which is technically a e-liquid atomizer. What kind of wires are used for those. I've busted so many trying to change the wick, so I have multiple exoskeletons of tanks that are currently useless. I'd like to do some doctoring to rebuild a few of them. Also is there a trick in wrapping the wire around the wick? It doesn't seem extremely hard if the wire starts out not attached yet, but the eye can deceive me.
